It's just a little poem I thought of while being engulfed by the darkness myself … anyways, onward. Riku's POV. Enjoy.

The darkness is my home.

It lives within my soul,

My heart,

And my mind.

It promises me many things;

A world I cannot live in reality.

It promises a greater power,

A power greater than love itself.

It is my home,

Yet I fear it;

I fear the creatures that lurk in the shadows-

Creatures without hearts.

I fear how unfeeling they are.

They have taken over my thoughts, too.

I fear that I may become one of them.

The light has been snatched from my body,

By the cruel hands of betrayal.

For now, only sadness remains,

Taking over my very being.

Even my river of tears has run dry;

Becoming only dust.

But him,

He is the only one.

He is the light; my light

in this world of darkness.

The only thing that is real.

He is the eternal flame burning deep down

In the depths of my heart.

Shining rays of hope,

Hope that I can escape this reality.

Only he can rid of this deepening darkness.

Now, only destiny will tell what lies ahead.

My destiny lies with him;

And I know that for sure now.

He will guide me with his light,

And lead me through the dark.

He will find a new path,

A good path,

He will forever be by my side.

Sora.

My only one.

My only hope.

My only salvation.

My light in the darkness.

My key to the light.
