It took a lot to make Rock Lee hate something,
usually contradicting the ways of youth, love, justice and so on, or most likely, effecting his boyfriend negatively.
But right now, Lee was pissed, straight pissed at the sand's Elders.
How could they do that to Gaara?! They knew sealing the demon wouldn't quite work, yet they did it anyway.
And what did they expect to do when something when wrong?
Drop him off on the highway, pin a twenty to his collar and wish him the best of luck? They abandoned him!
Left him, confused and depressed and then started hating him like he was the demon inside him,
and for the love of Kami, just expecting to kill him off when he became mentally unstable? 'Well, this is totally our fault, so now I guess we're going to kill it, this living thing that can think, speak, feel, and hurt.'
And the stupid villagers! Were they so simple-minded that anything, anything at all vaguely different was evil?
To be shunned and harassed 'til breaking point?
Lee huffed and sat down next to Gaara, whose stoic gaze softened.
And of all people, Gaara knew what brooding looked like.
And looking at Lee it was obvious that he was hating something like nobody's business.
And upon seeing Lee in this dangerously pissed attitude, it was enough to make Gaara almost smile, almost.
Lee's big brows furrowed tightly, his turtle looking mouth grimacing, and his eyes tightly shut, Gaara couldn't help but chuckle.
So when Gaara kissed Lee , whom once had a touch-me-and-I'll-bite-off-your-face kind of look, his attitude brightened up compartively, and smiling and kissing Gaara back, he ran out the door of their apartment in Leaf,
probably planning to do something Youthful and Vigorious.
Gaara sat down, and sighed, slightly amused.
Some things you just can't change.
