Part 4: In Too Deep

"You guys are really brave to come on this mission. These sound ninja aren't still around because they were lucky you know. They're really powerful and can't be looked at lightly," stated Taku.

"We're fully aware of the task at hand, right team?" asked Kakashi.

"Of course we do, what do you take us for? Idiots?" replied Naruto.

"We take you for an idiot Naruto!" exclaimed Sakura.

Naruto let his head hang low. Why does Sakura always put me down like this?

Taku led them to a small warehouse just outside of Konoha. He opened the door and gestured to them to go inside. Sakura, Naruto, Kakashi, and Sasuke all walked in. Taku followed behind them.

The room they entered was dark and they could not see a thing. Taku flipped a switch and a bright light turned on. Naruto had to shield his eyes for a second, and then he could see all that was in the room.

In the room were maps of all the villages, weapons, scrolls of jutsus, and wanted posters of rogue ninja. Naruto couldn't believe his eyes. He had never seen so many weapons in his life. "Wow, look at all this stuff! What do you think Sasuke?"

Naruto turned to Sasuke. Sasuke was looking at a wanted poster on the very top of the wall. Naruto walked over next to Sasuke. "What are you looking at?" he asked. Sasuke didn't answer. He just kept staring at the wall.

Taku walked over to Naruto and Sasuke. He looked up to where Sasuke was looking. He grinned and patted Sasuke on the shoulder. "I've been chasing him for five months now," said Taku.

Sasuke looked up at him. Even though they were about the same age, Taku was quite taller than Naruto, Sakura, or Sasuke. He was about as tall as Kakashi.

"If you'd like, after all this is over, you can accompany me in hunting him," said Taku.

A flash shot through Sasuke's eyes. It was quick, but Taku noticed it and grinned. "I'll consider it," replied Sasuke, sounding more eager than he looked.

"So, what does this 'Demon Hidden in Darkness' look like? I mean, shouldn't we at least know what this guy looks like before we go chasing after him?" asked Sakura.

Taku's grin widened. "You're absolutely right Sakura, and it just so happens I have a picture of him with me. Now, you must understand, this is classified information, and not everyone has seen this. This guy has made it pretty far up in the Bingo Book," replied Taku.

"Okay, cool, now will you show us the picture now?" exclaimed Naruto impatiently.

"Shut up loser," said Sasuke.

"Hey, can't we all just get along for once?" asked Kakashi.

"Anyway, here it is." Taku put a folded up piece of paper on the table. He slowly unfolded it. The three Genin gasped.

"Master Kakashi!" gasped Sakura. "That man looks like you!"
