This was another of my sis's ideas. But I managed to made it longer 'cause her story was kinda...short (It was only two lines long --u)...I didn't I could get this far to make another fic, 'cause I'm a little busy with Inuyasha's daughter: Hikari's chapter 4. So here it is, enjoy, pliz...:

The smell of cooking fires drifted into Inuyasha's nose as he bounded through the trees back towards his home. Luckily, the blizzard that had gone through when he was at Sesshoumaru's manor hadn't been heading in the direction of his village, so the snow wasn't as deep nor the wind too cold.

He landed on a thick branch just outside of the village, stopping to gaze at his home in the fading light, his breath steaming around him. He couldn't help but smile when his eyes landed on the hut he had built with his own two hands, the fire was burning brightly and his sensitive ears could just make out the sound of his daughter's laughter, a sure sign her sickness had passed.

Not wanting to waste a moment further, Inuyasha leaped out of the tree and sprinted towards his home. Arriving in no time, he stopped just outside his door and listened to the two female voices inside. Kagome was trying to get Rumiko ready for bed, apparantly, and the two year old wasn't having any of it. Inuyasha chuckled at his wife's weary but patient voice.

"Rumiko, what would your father say if he saw you now?"

Not about to pass that up,Inuyasha brushed aside the reed door, walked in and put his fists on his hips, a stern look on his face.

"He'd say, 'Get the hell to sleep, girl, you're being a pain in the ass!'"

Rumiko whirled around, her expression frightened for just a fraction of a second before erupting into a huge grin. "Daddy!!" She squealed, running towards her father, who laughed as he scooped her up and tossed her into the air, catching her in a tight embrace.

"You have been driving your mother up the wall, I see," Inuyasha said, grinning at Kagome before turning back to his daughter. "Feeling better?"

The little human girl nodded rapidly, her grin mirroring his. "All better!"

Kagome smiled as she walked up to them, Inuyasha's fire rat robe hanging over her arms. He shifted Rumiko to the side as they met in a tender kiss, not having to speak to let each other know how much they missed the other.

Inuyasha squeezed his family close, nuzzling each of them in turn. "It's good to be home."
