Well as promised this is part of the next chapter sadly I wasn't able to finish the whole thing. I don't own MOB.
Maya was angry but she couldn't argue. Not when he said it like that. She grabbed her bags and went to her room immediately wishing she was brave like her brother as their father shouts began. She listened to their father's verbal assault and Takaya's less than witty comebacks, noting that even his argumentative skills seemed to be forced. Oh how she wished that she had just gone over to a friend's house and stayed there. Then Takaya wouldn't have had to do any of this he could just leave until they're father sobered. There was a loud scuffle outside her door. The fights had never turned this violent before maybe a punch thrown but never this. Maya decided it was enough. She grabbed her cell phone and text Yuzuru asking him what he thought she should do; the cops never believed that Takaya wasn't fighting gangs and somehow their father always managed to sober up before they got nearby. It just wasn't fair. Yuzuru said to give him a few minutes.
Takaya didn't know why he thought that today would be any different than usual. He mentally sighed; his father wasn't really a bad guy when he wasn't drinking. Too bad since he lost his job, that's all the older man seemed to be doing. Normally, Takaya was able to keep the arguments between them and verbal. However, this time the bastard had started making his way towards Maya's room. Takaya felt his blood boil as he put himself between Maya's door and the drunkard. He was about to summon the sleep spell when the first punch struck him, knocking him into a stupor. He was unable to stop the next few blows as they rained down upon him. Distantly he realized that he must have been hit hard enough to cause a concussion. That was the only way to describe the fogginess in his mind and how slow his mind seemed to process the world. Somewhere along the fifth punch he fell to the ground and the first kick met with his chest. It was around then that his eyes cleared enough to see the next kick coming he exhaled with the blow to cushion the damage and molded himself to his sister's doorway curling up protectively. After a couple more well-aimed kicks to his body the drunken burnet gave up and walked back into the living room, kicking off Takaya's schoolwork from the table as he sat down and put his legs up. "Get yourself cleaned up."
Takaya wheezed heavily in an attempt to catch his breath, coughing up blood when he tried to move. 'Well shit, I'm gonna survive getting kidnapped by a fucking psycho just to get killed by my fucking father.' He focused healing spell on mending his chest, if he could just fix that then he should be able to get everything else in order. It took longer than it should have, but Takaya was finally able to breathe normally. There must've been more damage than he had thought. Takaya could hear Maya's soft sobs through the door. She must've come over some time before he fell. "Maya." he whispered quietly, "stay in there and don't come out, something's up."
The drunkard chose then to remind them he was there. "Hey, you little snot! If you can sit up then you can get me another beer off the counter and make it quick."
Takaya bit back his retort of 'get it yourself' not sure that he could take another beating so soon and stood tentatively making sure nothing was broken. His pride hurt as he did as the other commanded, but he wasn't about to endanger Maya because of a torn ego. He never thought he would be so grateful for the years of ingrained servitude that had been required of him as a hostage of war but he was now. Surprising how much his new life needed it. He grabbed a can and took it over to the older man with every intention of handing over the beverage and going to his room. Too bad for him his father had other plans in mind. As he sat the beer down on the table he felt a hand come up to his hair, gripping tightly and pulling him downwards. He panicked then as his memories came flooding back. Both the past and present mixed together in a horrible waking nightmare. Takaya wasn't sure but he may have let out a scream as he felt a set of arms encircle him and pull him away from his father. He struggled with those arms. He didn't care who they belong to all he knew was they were blocking his escape.
I know cliff hanger soooooo sorry there will be more soon. =^.^=
