Hello! This is my first ever fan-fic, so be nice, ok? (well, you don'y have to, but it would be nice...)

Hope you like!

PS, the title does'nt make much sense, I know. I just couldn't come up with a good one.

Hope and Love

Ritsuka sighed as he looked up into the blue sky above him. It was a beautiful day. Soubi had suggested that, since the weather was so nice, he and Ritsuka should go out to the park for the day and have a picnic lunch. And for once, Ritsuka wasn't going to complain.

They had gone to their favorite park- the one that held so many memories for them both.
They went out to the fields and laid down a large blanket to lie on and relax. Soubi was lying on his stomach with his arms folded underneath his neck as he read his current favorite manga. Ristuka however, was laying on his back looking up into the bright blue sky and listening to the radio that Kio had gotten him for his 17th birthday. Not much of a gift, compared to what Soubi had gotten him though...

As he relaxed there, he spotted two white birds on a nearby tree, and for some reason, this caught his interest. When he looked closer, he saw that one of the two birds looked like it had gotten hurt and had a bad wing. It also looked like the smaller of the two birds was trying to coax the other, larger bird to fly with it.

Ritsuka almost cried when the larger bird tried to fly and plummeted down to earth.
The smaller bird quickly swooped down to see if the larger bird was alright. And, with some chirping encouragement, the larger bird attempted to fly once again, only to fall yet again. And just like the first time, the smaller bird quickly flew over to it and chirped some encouragement to it.

This reminded Ritsuka of the hell that he and Soubi had gone through. Every time one would try to fly away from whatever was hurting them, they would be shot down in their tracks. The larger bird also reminded him of Soubi. Just like the bird, Soubi had been wounded. Soubi had tried to take flight. But every time, he just got hurt. Until, that is, he met Ritsuka. Ritsuka had given him the strength to try again until he finally achieved flight.

When they finally cast away all that, when they finally achieved flight, they found the love they had for each other. It had always been there, locked up inside. And when they found it, there was nothing that could keep them apart anymore. Not Ritsukas mother, not Seimei, not anything.

He turned to Soubi and smiled. He had never realized how much the other man meant to him before all that. Soubi had helped Ritsuka, Ritsuka had helped Soubi. Two broken hearts, two broken bodies. They came together in the strangest of ways, and were now inseparable. Fancy that.

"Hey, Soubi?"

Soubi turned to see Ritsuka's smiling face. "What is it, Ritsuka?"
Ritsuka moved closer to Soubi and wrapped his arms around his neck. "I love you Soubi." Soubi smiled back as his lover snuggled closer and buryed his face in Soubi's chest. "I love you too, Ritsuka."

While cuddling with his love Soubi noticed two white birds soaring through the sky.
