The Great Debate

The Great Debate

It has become quite a debate.

Are they gay or are they straight?

First you have yaoi,

This means a boy and a boy.

This include combinations like 1x2, 3x4, and even 5x13

And everything else in between,

If you get what I mean

But yaoi is only about the males

We can't forget those lovely and not so lovely females

When you have a girl and another girlie

This is known as yuri.

Some say Relena and Dorothy are meant to be.

Other's say Noin goes good with Sally.

And some even like a group of three.

Last of all, you have those who think they're straight.

That means like a boy and girl on a date.

This includes Heero and Relena, Duo and Hilde, and the list goes on.

Wufei and Sally, Quatre and Dorothy and Zechs and Noin.

People argue every which way,

Are they straight or are they gay.

But this is what I have to say.

The Gundam characters are not alive

We can all think what we want and we'll all survive.

If you think Quatre is Trowa's koi.

And you like to read and about the boy and his boy

Go ahead and read lots of yaoi.

If Dorothy and Relena is you thing

Than find yourself some yuri Gundam Wing.

But if you like your guys and gals straight

And if you think only a boy and a girl should go on a date.

Leave the yaoi and yuri be

And read things about couple like Wufei and Sally.

All these arguments have given me quite a fright

So everyone please just read and write what you like

Leave the other stories be

Bye now, I think I'll go watch some TV.

I wrote this poem mainly because I'm so sick of yaoi lover's flaming people who write straight stories and people who like straight stories flaming yaoi and yuri stories. If you don't like those kind of stories don't read them, it is that simple. Yeah, I know, not everyone says what the story is about in the summary, but most of the time you can tell whether or not the story will contain yaoi or yuri by the end of the first couple of paragraphs.

Please feel free to leave the comments. I'd love to hear your opinion on the subject, but don't flame me for my opinion in the process.
