Diclaimer: I don't own it.

Jasmine sat in the kitchen of the palace in Del, attempting to read a book. She could not concentrate and sighed, setting the novel down as she stood. She was still angry, though she had calmed down somewhat, and thought a walk would cheer her up. She was about to leave the kitchen when Lief entered. Her anger instantly returned at the sight of him, though her face remained completely indifferent. He was twirling a rose between his fingers as he leant against the doorframe.

"Who is that for?" Jasmine asked stiffly, her body tense as she looked at the flower.

"My wife." Lief replied calmly, his unwavering gaze unnerving her, though Jasmine tried not to show it.

"Hmm… I wonder what would have provoked such a romantic gesture from someone like you." the black haired young lady said icily.

"Again, I can only give you one answer. My wife." Lief said, pretending not to notice the insult.

"Oh, and what is your wife doing to inspire you to give her a rose?" she sniffed.

"Well, I am not exactly sure. She is certainly confusing me, and making me wonder if she lies to me." the king stated.

"And what lies do you think she is telling you?" Jasmine snapped.

"She tells me that she trusts me and that I know her better than she knows herself. How can I believe that she trusts me when she accused me of unfaithfulness only a few hours ago? How can she tell me I know her better than she knows herself, when I am at a complete loss as to why she is so insecure and sees fit to yell at me? What am I supposed to do? I have never looked at another woman in a romantic way in my life!" he exclaimed, looking severely distressed.

Jasmine's eyes welled with tears and she flung herself into her husband's arms, crying into his shoulder. He wrapped his arms around her in turn, placing the rose on the table before doing so.

"I am sorry, Lief. So sorry." Jasmine cried. She knew her treatment of Lief had been bad recently. She felt terrible for it, but could not help herself. She was so afraid that he would find a woman that he loved more than her, and leave her.

"It is alright, darling. It is alright." Lief murmured, stroking her black curls as he held her close.

After Jasmine had calmed down a little, Lief kissed her gently on the mouth and picked up the rose, handing it to her. "Trust me, Jasmine. I would die before I ever intentionally did something that could hurt you. There is no need to doubt my love for you. I will adore and cherish you until the day I die." Lief said, smiling softly.

Jasmine smiled in return and embraced him tightly. "Thank you, Lief. I love you."

A/N -Bangs head on desk- Well, another fluffy, completely pointless story. Seriously people, write fluff. The more fluff that's written, the less options I have to write fluff! I get an idea and it won't go away until I write it and post it. Why me? Anyway, please review. :)
