He had destroyed every single notion she had believed to be true.
The sky was no longer blue.
Things no longer fell down.
Still she clung to a single truth that had been pounded into her head for as long as she could remember. She held this truth close to her heart and knew from the bottom of her soul that it was true, and on their next encounter she couldn't help but blurt it out.
"Two plus two will always equal four!"
She enjoyed but a moment of satisfaction at the startled look that crossed his face. However that only lasted a moment because after that brief instant of time passed a smirk curled his lips.
"I that so? If I have a villager herd two calves into a pen and then have another villager place two ravenous wolves into the same pen, how many animals will be left alive after the time it takes to walk around the pen elapses?"
She was quiet and he apparently took her silence as a sign to continue.
"I can tell you with complete certainty that there will not be four animals left."
She continued to stare at him a moment longer before three simple words came spilling from her mouth.
"I hate you."
He smirked again and drew closer to her, his shining platinum hair floating like gossamer strands behind him.
"No, you do not."
She gasped in outrage, how dare he tell her how she felt.
"I do too!"
"No, you do not."
"Don't tell me how I feel! I hate you, I really do!"
He drew even closer and a slender, clawed hand came to rest behind her neck.
"You don't hate me Kagome, and I'll show you why."
He pulled her to him and leant down, covering her lips with his before she could say anything further. Then as soon as she began to give into his seduction, he pulled away.
"See you don't hate me, in fact you adore me."
She sighed and gave in. Clearly she wasn't going to win in a verbal match against this particular taiyoukai (demon lord).
"I guess you're right again."
"I'm always right."
"She began to roll her eyes at his arrogance be was distracted when he kissed her again.
Yup he had deliberately destroyed her every notion. But it was a good thing, she needed to be kept on her toes.

: . Author's Note . :
Another short one-shot, this one is extremely short. But it was the quickest to type so I typed it up first. I actually came up with this on the day before Christmas Eve when my fight was delayed and I was stuck waiting in the terminal for over an hour. Come to think of it, a couple of my best ideas for SK romances, which this is by the way, come to me while I'm in the airport… I don't really know if that's a good thing.
By the way is anyone having problems with their e-mail and ff? I have yet to receive the notice from the one-shot I posted last night and I haven't received any of the review alerts and I checked and there are some.
