Chapter Four

Was she really trying to convince him to put on this red and white monstrosity? Like she had pointed out earlier, he had no 'Christmas Spirit' and he sure as hell was not going to start getting some with her; even if he did feel sorry and have a soft spot for her. His eyes narrowed as he turned the suit over in his hands, just the mass of velvet fabric was making him feel nauseous, gazing up to tell the female exactly what he thought of her preposterous notion... He blinked when she was no where to be found; was he really that tied up in the outfit that he failed to hear her leave the area? Blinking again when he heard the sounds of giggling, he turned his head to see what was going on and seeing what he did he sighed; did he not just say that he did not want her going anywhere near those filthy animals? Growling to himself, he walked over to her, only for her to poke her tongue out at him and jump in the sleigh.

"You are trying my patience tonight Rose," he warned her, he always did give a warning to her and he had no idea why "Let's go back inside," he attempted to lure her "I have hot chocolate," he declare - even though he would have to Chaos Control to the store to get some, but being away from these strange creatures was the whole point of his 'kindness'.

"No. I don't want any hot cocoa," the stubborn female huffed, picking up the reigns and looking at them in interest before dropping them again, her gaze now on the workmanship of the sleigh

"Let's go inside," he insisted again, glaring at the reindeer in distrust, he swore he just heard one of them chuckle

"I don't feel like it," she stated, she still wanted him to put the suit on, he would look quite cute with it on, not that she would tell him that~ Though her thoughts were short lived when he stepped into the vessel
"I said, let's go-" As soon as he growled out those two words, the magical creatures took off suddenly and the unsuspecting Shadow the Hedgehog toppled over into the back seat.

A loud growl reached the pink female's ears as she jumped as a hand slapped down on the back of the front seat and she dared not look at him, she sure as heck did not make them move! As the dark male sat beside her, he reached over and snatched the reigns from her hands, attempting to steer the stupid beasts back home, to no avail - the reindeer set them down on a roof of a completely different home.

"Why?" he growled out to the horned demons in front of him, he was beyond angry now. What had he ever done to deserve this? He tried whipping the straps to make them go again, but the reindeer remained still. Why in the name of chaos would they not move?! A string of growled curses fell from his gritted teeth as he simply sat there

"Shadow, are you okay?" Amy questioned, fiddling with the hem of her dress, not willing to take her eyes off of the dark male

"This is ridiculous! Why did I even open my door to you tonight Rose?! This is... Impossible!" he seethed back, glaring into her green orbs, though when tears formed around those alluring eyes of hers, he clenched his fists

"I know I ruin everything. I'm so sorry Shadow..." she sniffled, she had only gone to his home to keep him company, that's all... And she had managed to do this to him!
"For Chaos' sake," the ebony male huffed and stood, reaching into the back of the sleigh and pulled on the jacket in one fluid movement then stepping into the pants and pulling them up, the velvet fabric swallowed his smaller hedgehog stature "Are you happy now?!"

"Thank you," a smile came to the pink hedgehog's face as she reached over and tied up the sash around his waist so he didn't have to keep his hands on the pants to keep them from falling down "I think you look han-... Great," she rubbed her eyes to get rid of the tears that were still there; keeping in a giggle when he immediately turned away from her and started rummaging in the sacks that he had previously fallen on to try and find some carrots or something to try and bribe the dumb reindeer back home... Though as he grabbed a red velvet one with a black draw-string, his ears perked as the sack lifted into the air as if it was full of helium. The cord magically wrapped itself around his wrist and as he let go, the thing kept lifting him into the air; it would not let him go

"What is happening?!" the dark male growled trying to pry the rope from his wrist, the height from the rooftop did not bother him, it was an easy drop down. His crimsons caught the sight of pink and as he gazed at her, seeing the amazed look in her emeralds - A deadly glare came to his face as he kept his eyes directed at her

"How was I supposed to know it was going to do that?" she defended herself as it lowered him towards the chimney "This night so far has been a shit-ton of crazy,"

"You don't say..." His sarcastic response came as he was lowered into position over the round hole that was the chimney, he simply stared at the pink female as he was sucked down into it, his crimsons keeping the pink form in his eyesight until he couldn't see her any more.

Shaking himself off, the dark male looked around the room he was now stood in. There was a Christmas tree in the corner of the room, decorated in all kinds of glistening and shining ornaments, he went to shake the sack to take him the hell out of there, but the sack was now full..

"What the...?" he huffed and looked in the bag and there were now full of shiny and colorful covered boxes and smaller items.. What the hell was he supposed to do with all of these 'gifts'? He went to empty the sack when a sound from the nearby couch stopped him in his tracks. Turning, he glanced over to see a young ebony female hedgehog under a blanket, holding on to her stuffed lion. He could feel the fur on his neck stand up as he quickly and quietly as he could place the gifts near the tree, and shaking out the smaller gifts as quickly as he could. One shaped like a skateboard got stuck and he growled as it remained stuck. Giving one rough shake, the thing almost hit the floor hard when it came loose, but Shadow managed to catch it. Grumbling at having to play along with this facade, he walked to the heath and looked down to see the milk and cookies left there. There was no way in hell he was going to indulge himself in the sweets... He was about to shake the empty bag to get him the hell out of there; when a small voice cut across his escape plan

"Santa...?"
