AN: Don't own the song or the show. Don't own much but I have a good life.

Revelations, A Coda

Kim awoke late in the night, the cool night air tickling her skin.

They hadn't indulged in the Sake that much at all, just being with each other was intoxicating enough for them.

Snuggling closer to her Ron she began to think on the night and her mind came back to the song she had performed earlier. She had picked it because it was a nice song and was well known, but only once she was on stage and belting it out with all she had did she stop to consider what the words truly meant.

Lying beside you, here in the dark

Feeling your heart beat with mind

Softly you whisper, you're so sincere

Still sleeping, Ron's mouth opened and uttered a sweet nothing meant for her, "Love Kim..."

"Love you too Ron." Came the whispered reply.

I'm so lucky, I could have lost all of this to foolish vanity.

She reflected on the previous spring and how close she had come to loosing Ron from her life for good.

Kim had asked and he had confessed if she hadn't believed him at the prom about the Diablo's he would have walked away.

How could our live be so blind

We sailed on together

We drifted apart

And here you are by my side

Her mind drifted as she lay beside her man, stroking his coarse blonde locks. What would life had been like if Ron weren't a part of it? How many days filled with laughter would have been spent alone? Would she have snapped from her 'pretty boy daze' or would Drakken have won, plunging her life into darkness?

Living without you, living alone

This empty house seems so cold

Kim hugged him, banishing those thoughts. It never happened and it never would, never mind all his insecurities, she knew where she belonged. In his open arms.

But now that you've come back

Turned night into day

I need you to stay.

Rolling from her back to face him she let her lips touch his, his eyes fluttering open to that most excellent of wake up calls.

"Mmmm, gotta love those KP kisses."

Pulling him to her she spoke, "Just had to wake you up for more Ronshine..." and then, quieter, more heartfelt... "thanks for being with me Ron."

"I can't imagine any other place to be Kim."

So now I come to you, with open arms

Nothing to hide, believe what I say

So here I am with open arms

Hoping you'll see what your love means to me

Open arms

AN: This has been floating in my head since I wrote the first part. What kinds of thoughts do these lyrics inspire in Kim's fertile mind? Hope you enjoyed.
