Sorry to all the peeps that have stuck it out for me to finish this fic. So much has changed in my life form when I started this. (I was in middle school can you belive that?) Between finishing High school and college I can make any promises as to how this story will turn out based on what was already here.

Before I actually post an updateI would like to recap the story more for my own benefit than anything else. Here goes. Max and Fang start dating, sort of, and then Fang "dies". Max finds out she is pregnant through the voice in her head which I don't remember if she knows is Jeb or not. Fang is reveiled to be not dead and with an unnamed person who seems to be important. Poll is still open for baby gender and names

I froze. The girl staring at me, tear filled eyes blinking rapidly in the dim light.

"Please what?" I asked, glancing from her to the metal door behind her.

She just shivered in responce, curling her knees to her chest.

I turned away and stepped around her to the door. Banging on it with my fist I yelled out to the scientists on the other side. "what's going on?"

Nothing. Like I expected. With a sigh I turned back to the girl and knelt beside her.

"What's your name?"

"72605" She sniffled.

"How long have you been here?"

A shurg. "Forever."

"Fuck"

I moved and sat on the lumpy cot in the corner that had been my only source of comfort the past few months. The girl flinched, curling more into herself. This was going perfectly. And I knew there was no hope for rescue as the scientists had no shame in showing me my fake death. They had gloated over the perfectly coreographed switch after shooting me with a tranq. They were so glad to have a use for the failed clone. I wish they all were dead.

A scraping sound alerted me to the small food door being opened and two trays being pushed through. At least I didn't have to worry about not being fed while I was here. Three meals a day.

"Hurry up and do it all ready," a voice sneered before the door scraped closed again.

"Do what?" I murmured.

"Reproduce" the girl whispered.

"What?" I looked between her and the door.

"They found out that we can breed. So they want to make more of us."

I felt sick. Was that why they put this girl in here with me? So that I could knock her up and they could do creepy experiments to the kid? They were really that invested into two teens shacking up. We needed to get out of here. Like now.

I couldn't relax. Even after the kids tired themsleves out from palying in the water and we camped for the night, something felt wrong. Iggy seemed to sense it too, sitting next to me as I took first watch.

"You should really go to bed." He touched a hand to my shoulder.

"I'm fine. I've got first watch."

"No. We both know you haven't been feeling well and that you think you know why. So either spill or go to sleep. I don't want you keeling over in the middle of the night."

I sighed. "Fine. I'll sleep."

Iggy nodded. "This conversation isn't over. When we get to Mom's house you're going to talk."

I smiled inspite of myself. Glad that everyone called her Mom. I guess that she sort of was.

"Don't worry Ig. I'll tell you everything soon."

So this was basically filler, sorry about that. I'll get some real work on this done before 6 more years go by. Maybe.
