Sora Snaps

Summary: Sora finally snaps under the pressure of synthesizing the Ultima Keyblade.
Author's Note: This fic was the result of me spending endless hours replaying Kingdom Hearts, trying to make that thrice-damned keyblade known as the Ultima Keyblade…

One more ingredient.
One… More… Ingredient.
And, finally, that thrice-damned keyblade, the Ultima Keyblade, would be his.
If only this damned White Mushroom would cough up a box of Mystery Goo!
This one (Which he'd found in the Lotus Forest) must have had some sort of knowledge about him being so close to having all the ingredients. Must've known about him running around Hollow Bastion for hours, goading the wizard Heartless out of hiding so he could shock the living daylights out of them. Must've known about him getting the stuffing knocked out of him by the Defender Heartless and the wyverns…
So now, it was trying to be cute.
Well, it wasn't cute. It was frustrating beyond all rational thought!
Sora's eye twitched as the White Mushroom fell to the ground. After a moment's pause, he cast cure. The Heartless jumped up, clapping its hands and nodding wildly. Sora gave a jerky nod in response. Then, the Mushroom fell to the ground again. Again, Sora cast cure. The Mushroom Heartless jumped up and clapped its hands again. Then… It shivered.
Sora let out an enraged scream.
You see, in order to get the Mystery Goo, you must cast the same spell three times in a row(1): The Heartless had broken its cure pattern and switched to a fire pattern. Now, if this were the first time it had happened, Sora would probably laughed and dismissed it. But after two hours of this little game, he was beginning to get pssed.
He had to get to the End of the World, find Ansem, and defeat him. Unbeknownst to Sora, however, the former ruler of Hollow Bastion (by this time) had fallen asleep on the beach of the Destiny island fragment, bored out of his mind whilst waiting for the spiky-haired youth.
"STOP SCREWING WITH ME!" Sora roared. The White Mushroom waved its hands soothingly, and signaled the start of another pattern. Sora huffed and puffed for a moment, and then relaxed. "Go on, then." He muttered. The Mushroom nodded.
First, it fanned its face. It wanted Sora to use blizzard. Sora did. A moment, and then the Mushroom fanned its face again. Another blizzard. Finally, Sora tensed. Finally. Finally. The last ingredient… There was a moment of total tension and suspense. The Mushroom tensed up, paused, and then…
Fell to the ground.
"ARRRRRRRRGH!"

"Sora? Sora? We heard you scream, are you-" Donald stopped. He and Goofy had just been poking around the Tea Party Garden for White Mushrooms when they'd heard Sora scream. Now, the duck and the dog stood, dumbfounded, as they saw the revered keyblade master run around, crying out in frustration, as he bopped a White Mushroom on the head with his Keyblade.

(1): In the game, you don't actually have to do it in a row, you just have to cast said spell three times when the mushroom signals it. It's really just a matter of how much patience you have when waiting for it to do the same thing.
