No Need

Sena cowered as he watched Habashira Rui charge down the field at him. Those eyes. He knew eyes like those. He's seen them so many times and they promised nothing but pain. His legs froze and he couldn't dodge, and Sena found himself flying backwards before hitting the ground and rolling a ways. The brunette pushed himself to his feet breathing heavily with fear. He wanted so much to just run away and not look back. He jumped when a hand landed heavily on his shoulder.

"Fucking chibi. What are you getting so worked up for?" Hiruma pulled him closer by the facemask of his helmet and spoke in a softer tone before walking away to yell at the Huh Huh Kyoudai.

Sena was left flushed and breathless, but he could feel the fear dissipating. Why? Why would hearing something like that for him of all people be so helpful? Even as Sena curled up in his bed at home that night, those words kept replaying in his mind.

"You don't need to be afraid, I'm here."
