"It's the Ring, isn't it," Pegasus adjusts himself on the mat as he talks, "somehow it's changed your body..."
Bakura tries again to get into the lotus position the instructor wants from them. There's no reason to discuss it, not that he can see. What's done is done, why doesn't matter. Nor do his feelings about what's happening.
And still Pegasus talks. "You don't need to worry." He leans over, twisting his long legs on the mat, and pats his boyfriend on the shoulder. "I'll be there for you. You know I'd never leave you."
Bakura bows his head.
"Who knows, it might be nice." If he looked up, he knows he'd see Pegasus smiling. He always does that when he's talking about this, and lately his smiles are getting bigger. "A little boy," he says, "a little boy with your eyes, and maybe with hair like mine..." Bakura stares at the floor. "Or a girl," he goes on, "I wouldn't mind a girl, would you? She could be like the sister I never had."
Bakura, whose had a sister, says nothing. He just tries again to get his feet onto his legs.
The instructor's in the room now. She's up front, and she looks like she wants to get started. Pegasus lowers his voice. "You've got to start practicing at home Ryou," he says, "you've got to do your breathing, and all the positions we're learning here. I don't want you to have a hard labor." His voice is tender, really tender, maybe more tender than Bakura's ever heard it before.
He lets the words flow over him. Pegasus' words, the instructor's, they go over and they leave no impression after he finishes doing his exercises. It's going to happen, there's nothing he can do. He's going to have this baby, Pegasus' baby probably, or maybe the Entity's. Pegasus keeps worrying that it will hurt him, and probably it will, there's nothing that can be done about that either. He curls his legs and goes on with the Mommy and Me yoga class. And he smiles a little. Maybe Pegasus will let him name the baby Amane.
