I got this image in my head, and I just couldn't stop giggling. So here it is.
Hinata hesitated before gently knocking on the door to Naruto's apartment. She had passed Kakashi-sensei in the street and he'd asked her to deliver a note detailing the team's next mission, and so, blushing all the while, she had summoned up the courage to walk into the nondescript building, find his door, and knock.
There was no answer.
She could tell he was home. Chakra signature notwithstanding, she could hear him talking, on the phone, perhaps, though his voice seemed strangely off-key. So calling up another burst of confidence, she knocked again, louder, a slightly higher-then-normal-strength-knock.
Again, there was no answer.
Hinata fingers had pressed together without her even realizing it. What would people think of her if she couldn't do something so simple as knock on a door and hand someone a note? She wouldn't let that happen! She'd had enough of being so shy! She may not be the strongest around, but she wouldn't be defeated by a mere closed door! She was a shinobi of the hidden leaf, and she would find a way to deliver this note right to Naruto's face, without blushing or stuttering!
She didn't have any lockpicks, as the Hyuuga family considered such things undignified, and she didn't know any chakra techniques that would open a locked door that didn't involve smashing it to pieces. So, she put her mind to work, and it took her outside. Sticking to the side of the building with her chakra, she found Naruto's window wide-open, and easily slipped inside. Double-checking that it really was Naruto's home to avoid any awkward situations, she breathed a sigh of relief and headed further inside, following the sound of Naruto's voice.
She first passed through a surprisingly clean kitchen, which smelt of ramen, and poked her head into the doorway to his bedroom. It was a complete mess. She focused on his voice and giggled outright as she realized that the odd tone was from his off-key singing. Before she could step inside, however, a door opened and steam poured out. Hinata opened her mouth to announce her presence, but before she could, Naruto stepped out, a towel around his waist.
A rather small towel around his waist, and little beads of water from a bath scattered over his bare back.
Hinata froze. Oblivious to her presence, Naruto strutted into the room, facing away from her, holding a brush like a microphone and singing into it. He walked up to a pile of clothes on his bed, still not noticing her, and with one final word crooned into his brush, he whipped the towel off and gave himself a last quick wipe before swinging it through the air above his head and tossing it away with a flourish.
Naruto pulled on his boxers just as he heard a 'thump' and walked out of the bedroom to nearly trip over Hinata's prone form. As he bent down to examine her, he wondered about several things, such as what she was doing is his apartment, how badly she was hurt, as he could see her nose was bleeding, and why, even while unconscious, she had a happy, and somewhat demented smile plastered all over her face.
Yes, it is mindless, pointless and silly.
