"I see you haven't given up on them," The voice came from the back of my mind, yet it seemed all around me.
"What do you want?" I asked, not bothering to look where the voice was coming from. I knew I would only see the Darkness of this room.
"I only want to give you enough power to help you," the voice continued.
"You mean be your puppet," I tried to look away, but it was everywhere and yet nowhere at the same time. I felt my hair on my face as it blew in a small breeze of wind. I felt something cold on my cheek I went to wipe it away to see I was crying. I fell to my knees trying to stop myself from crying whispering to myself, "I must not let him know."
I felt something hit me on my face and I fell to the ground. As I looked up stunned from the blow I saw him, Ansem.
"Crying is for the weak, boy." Ansem walked up to me angrily. I tried to shuffle back but his hand reached out and he grabbed me by my shirt pulling me to my feet and off the ground. I was afraid as I hung there in his grasp wondering what he would do to me. Ansem raised his hand as darkness went over his hand. I knew that if he struck me like this, all that would be left of me would be my corpse. He started to calm down and slowly I was lowered and thrown onto my bed.
"Who are you loyal to? The friends who have forgotten who have replaced you? Or are you loyal to me? The one who gave you power of darkness, the one who protected you as you sank into it and defended your heart from the heartless you now control?"
"I don't know anymore," I looked away.
Ansem's hand slapped my cheek once more, "Foolish boy, remember who your master is! I can crush you at anytime; I can destroy your heart! Instead I gave you this room and gave you power and all I asked is you get rid of that wimpy boy."
"His name is Sora," I said starting to grow angry.
"I don't care about his name he'll be heartless just like everyone else soon. He too will join the darkness and be nothing but darkness. You, however, have the power to survive the darkness and control it. Shall I take that away from you? Should I let the heartless have you?"
"No," I said quietly
"No what?" Ansem said slowly his anger was dieing.
"No Master," I said once more not daring to meet his eyes I turned my head away.
I felt his hand slide under my chin as he moved my head to look at his face, "That is better. Now, use the darkness and trust in it and in me. Retrieve Kairi's heart. Sora has it. You will get it and use it to open the door."
"Yes Master," I said as Ansem disappeared once more.
His voice spoke once more in my head. "And this time Riku, don't fail me, or I will let the darkness crush you."
