She knows it's taboo. She knows it's something the brass in our line of work frown upon and that our society hasn't quite accepted.
But she doesn't seem to care. We're co-workers; I was a protestor in my twenties when she came into the world. As she said, once – her whole life has been a social taboo. Her birth, her childhood, her life – society doesn't think any of it is normal. So why should she care now?
