Two Coin Sides

He always watched. For what reason, he didn't know. She was nothing like him, yet she was everything to him. Some days he wanted to kill her, and get her out of his head, but then she'd smile at him shyly, and he'd want nothing but to please her. He didn't understand why she didn't hate him, so one day he had asked her "...Why aren't you afraid of me?" She'd looked at him, startled, then she'd smiled, and replied. He'd understood the minute she spoke, causing him to give her a tiny, rare smile he reserved only for her.

She knew he watched her while she slept, yet instead of making her feel afraid, it made her feel safe, like she had a guardian. They were so different, she didn't know how it had happened, but somehow it had, and that was what mattered. He'd once asked her why she wasn't afraid of him. She'd been startled, but then she'd answered. He had understood as soon as she spoke, and she knew she didn't have to say more. They'd stood there, encompassed in a blanket of comfortable silence, and their understanding grew.

A boy and a girl stood in a field. The boy turned to the girl and said "...Why aren't you afraid of me?" The girl looked at him for a moment, then smiled and replied, "We're two sides of a coin."

A/N: I couldn't resist, GaaHina is my fav. Couple, and I had to write this. Sorry if it seems out of character, but maybe I'll end up writing a follow up to explain. This is my first one shot, so tell me how I did. Sidenote: if the dashes don't show up, you read it one paragraph at a time.
