Summary: Light slash, Vlad x Danny, drabble. It's a few years in the future and Danny thinks there's something missing in Vlad's castle.

"Oh, come on, Vlad, please?"

"Absolutely not!"

"But – but…it's…"

"I don't even know why I let you have the car keys. I should have KNOWN you'd drive me to a repulsive place like this."

"Hon…"

"Don't 'hon' me. I told you when you were 14 and you should remember my words even though it's been about eight years, give or take. I…will…not…get…a…cat."

"At least look at the one I like!" Danny did the ultimate pout that had worked pretty much since they had first started living together.

Vlad sighed and rolled his eyes, giving in to the inevitable defeat that always resulted because of the pout, "Fine. I'll look at it. But that doesn't mean I'll agree to get it."

Danny's face lightened up and he went to the cat cages in the back of the store. When he came back, he was holding a beautiful white cat with beady black eyes that had probably just come out of kitten-hood, maybe 6 or 7 months old. "Look at how cute he is. You cannot resist that face."

"Err…" Although he himself could probably resist the cat's face, he had to admit it was rather cute in its own right…and Danny wanted it so much. He turned his gaze away to consider it for a moment and when he looked back, the younger man was holding the cat's face up to his and he was doing THE pout. Not to mention the cat seemed comfortable with Danny, and was purring a little before it gave Danny a little lick on the cheek.

Vlad was defeated for the second time in about five minutes. How humiliating. "Okay. Fine. We can get the cat. But I'm not going to be the one responsible for it."

For a second it looked like Danny was glowing. He braced the cat in one arm and hugged Vlad with the other.

"Thank you, thank you! I love you so much, Vlad!"

"Yeah, yeah, I know."
