Let's see. I think all standard comments apply. Read, review, repeat. Or, you know, don't. This is a SLASH STORY, so if it's not your cup of tea, go find some nice StarRob or CyBee or something. All good pairings. Just don't flame. Because they irk the Vulcan. And the Vulcan does not like to be irked.

This story originated from a challenge issued by my boy-toy to write a one-shot of all or almost all dialogue and to include a nightmare of some sort. This is the result. I'm still working on forming an opinion about it. Feedback is wonderful. Reviews are wonderful. All is good in the world when the Vulcan is fed with reviews. It keeps her (relatively) sane and writing.

And I think my author's note is now longer than the actual story, so I'll stop talking now and let you read.

Disclaimer: If this show belonged to me, it would still be running and there would be some definite changes to the script. Because I'm difficult like that.

Incorrigibility

"Speedy?"

"Mmph…"

"Speedy?"

sigh

"Roy!"

"Guh…what?"

"Are you okay?"

"I'm fine, Garth. Go back to sleep."

"But you were shaking. You're still trembling."

"I'm fine."

"You had another nightmare, didn't you?"

"Garth, please, just drop it."

"That's the third one this week. Are you sure you're ok?"

"I said drop it."

"Roy, I'm worried. The nightmares come and you can't sleep. So you're tired all day. Then we get called on a mission and you can't concentrate. You get hurt."

"I won't get hurt. I promise. I'll be fine."

"Damn it, Roy, I don't want to lose you."

"Garth, they're just nightmares. I've had them my entire life. We're not going to be able to do anything about them; we're just going to have to live with it. I'm used to them by now, anyway."

"Roy…"

"Garth, dearest, go to sleep."

"You sure you'll be okay?"

"I'll be fine. Now go to sleep."

"Aww, but now I'm all awake and everything."

"You had better not be implying what I think you're implying."

Innocence "And what might that be?"

"I thought I needed sleep."

"You do. It can wait."

"You incorrigible – mmph!"

"Roy?"

"Hmm?"

"Love you."

"Love you too, Garth."

There was no more talking.

El Fin

Well, there you go. Short and to the point, I suppose. Oh well. Review!

And I mentioned this in my bio, but I don't actually think many people really read those, so I'll mention it here, too. Due to the beginning of summer, I'm running low on that whole writing-motivation thing. This means few to no stories coming out of the Vulcan for the next few months. However, this is easily remedied. Suggestions and/or challenges and/or plot bunnies sent to the Vulcan via review, private message, or e-mail work wonders on her motivation level. She also promised to give you credit in the story if she uses your suggestion.

Love to all
