Author's Notes: This was never supposed to be written. XD This was only actually an idea that I shoved aside, but it kept bugging me, and so, here it is. It wasn't even supposed to be RoyEd, but hey, I like how it turned out. X3 Please review!

Sing

Roy could only raise an eyebrow as he stands outside the door of his own office, where he left Fullmetal Alchemist Edward Elric to wait as he went to get some files. Now, as he stands outside the room, he finds something about his subordinate that he would never even think to think about it.

Edward Elric sings.

And he's good, too.

Roy simply stands there, transfixed at the voice flower through the air. He stands with eyes closed, his head leaning against wood, simply listening to the notes floating, until the song ends. Opening his eyes, Roy pauses for a moment before he finally enters the room, passes by where Edward sits, and sits on his own chair.

And Ed fidgets, a bit unnerved at how the Colonel suddenly entered after the song. Could he have heard him? But nothing unusual happens, and they exchange words, until at last, everything is settled and finished, and Edward is ready to leave.

But as he walks away, Roy calls to him, and so he turns only to see that smug look on the Colonel's face.

"You know, Edward," Roy smirks, "I heard an angel sing today."

And so, Edward leaves the room with crimson cheeks.
