A/N: Hello to the wonderful world of my writing. This piece was originally written for an upcoming Hiei/Botan fan fiction I'm working on, but it didn't really fit into the whole charade. So, instead of scrapping my work of witty art, I'm posting it where I can. After all, writing should never go to waste. Grab something refreshing, sit back, and enjoy the tale.
A Lesson in Water Exchanging
"Give me water." Botan's nimble fingers paused midway of flipping the page of her book, the arch of her brow rising slightly as her radiant eyes glanced at Hiei, who was lying upon the bed before her.
"Oh...right," said Botan, placing her book on the edge of the bed, leaning over to grab the water bottle she had place on the stand. Hiei watched her every move, and as she pulled the cap open, added, "Give me water through your mouth."
Blinking, the clumsy girl turned her head towards the ill demon, the water spilling over her fingers. "What? What?" she spluttered, although she heard him quite clearly. "What do you mean, through my mouth-?"
"Just do it, I'm tired," came the aggravated retort. Botan stared at Hiei, who was waiting impatiently, gradually sitting up. The sheets that had been tucked around him slithered across his bare chest, gathering around his waist. "Well?"
Botan flushed slightly, unsure of what to make of this. After all, it was still a surprise to her that they were even together now. Was it his illness that was making him wild…? What's more, she didn't know how to do such a demand anyways-
She felt something slide across her dripping hand, and the bottle she held was whisked away. Hiei glared at her, tilting his head as he drank. Botan watched him, her head tilting slightly as he moistened his lips, his throat exposed..."Oh my, Botan, get a grip," Botan said to herself, flustered, turning away. She could not keep her eyes away for long, and when he had gotten his fulfillment, he looked at her, carelessly throwing the bottle away, along with the remaining water. "Hiei, what're-?"
He grabbed her face, pressing her lips to his forcefully, with such passion that she immediately parted her lips, feeling the rush of cool water enter her mouth as he parted his own. She had no choice but to swallow, and he pulled away, resting his arms on his knees as he gazed at her, watching as she touched her lips, silenced by the sudden act. "That's how you do it," he said with a sense of arrogance, grabbing her wrist before licking the remaining water that had lingered upon her hand, his eyes fixed on her before he pulled away once more, throwing himself across his bed and drawing the sheets around him.
Botan shakily picked up her book, which had fallen while the episode went on, clearing her throat quietly before picking up the abandoned bottle, a puddle forming where it had landed. She could not permit herself to clean just yet, and she watched Hiei, who seemed to of have gone back to sleep as if nothing happened. Her temper rose as she watched, determined he had done it to confuse her. Sure enough, Hiei opened his eyes, looking at her as she clutched the half filled bottle. "Once more?" he asked, smirking.
"What-? No! No! Jerk!" Botan spat, jumping up and slamming the bottle on the table, storming across the room and to the door. As she left, she could hear the fire demon's distinctive laughter ringing in her ear, and the pounding of her heart.
