Popsicle War
DaCow Takao
There is a bit of out of characterness in this, so sorry, but please, still enjoy!
The sun beat down intently, no one wanted to step outside of their lovely air-conditioned houses. Not even the birds dared to fly around. Every street was deserted. No lawn was occupied, except for one, very large lawn with lush grass and a fountain. Beyond the lawn was a huge mansion and a small pond, and surrounding it all was a tall, black, steel fence.
"Kai that was my eye!"
"You're such a wimp Tala!"
"Am not, you're just a mean person Kai!"
"I'm not, you're just a-"
"Will you two shut up and get us more ammo!"
Tala and Kai frowned at Spencer's booming voice. The two obeyed him though; they hurried over to a huge cooler that was set next to the large fountain. On the other side of the fountain was another cooler, but that was for the other team. Tala and Kai reached into theirs and pulled out a handful of popsicles, the two smiled as they looked down at their precious weapons.
"What colors did you get?" Tala asked, a curious look on his face as he look over at the popsicles in Kai's hands.
"Who cares, lets just get these back to Bryan and Spencer." Kai said, as he shook his head at his companion.
The two rushed back over to Spencer and Bryan, who were covered in a colorful, yet sticky, substance. Kai and Tala snickered a little at the sight of the two.
"I'm guessing we're on the losing side?" Tala asked, trying to keep back a smile.
"Just give us the popsicles." Bryan said, glaring at Tala with his lilac eyes.
Kai and Tala handed over the popsicles, then hurried off to their headquarters, which was underneath a large pine tree, once they heard war cries coming from the other side of the lawn.
Kai pulled two popsicles out of his pocket, seeing as he had took them when Spencer or Bryan hadn't been looking.
"Here," Kai said, handing Tala one of them.
"Thanks," Tala said, as he took the wrapped up dessert treat from Kai.
Kai unwrapped his; it was an orange flavored one. Tala looked over at Kai's Popsicle, with a frown on his face.
"What now, Tala?" Kai asked with a sigh.
"Can I have yours, I want the orange." Tala said, as he looked at Kai with puppy dog eyes.
"What color is yours?" Kai asked, somewhat curious.
"Blue." Tala said in an irritated tone as he showed Kai the dark blue blueberry flavored Popsicle.
"I'll trade with you." Kai said, seeing as he preferred the blueberry flavored one over the orange.
"Yes! Thank you." Tala said, snatching the orange one from Kai, and handing him the blue one.
After licking his Popsicle for a moment, Tala frowned," I don't like this flavor." He said a frown coming onto his face again.
"And?" Kai asked, as he continued to eat his.
"Don't act so smug Kai, I want that one back!" Tala said, very agitated for some reason.
Kai took a bite out of the Popsicle, smiling as he ate it. Tala smirked; he then shoved the orange Popsicle into Kai's mouth, he laughed as Kai started choking.
"Ha, that's what you get!" Tala said, a smug look on his face.
Kai finally stopped choking; he then grabbed his Popsicle and smeared it all over Tala, who had a shocked look on his face as Kai did so.
Everyone, which would be Tyson, Rei, Max, Kenny, Bryan, Ian, and Spencer stopped throwing and smearing each other with popsicles as they heard an ear shattering and deathly scream. They all ran over to the source, which was underneath a large pine tree. Most of them looked concerned as they looked underneath the tree, though all frowned as they found Tala, who had fainted, with Popsicle smeared all over him. They turned to the now hysterically laughing Kai.
"He asked for it!" Kai managed to say as he continued laughing.
Everyone sighed, and turned to continue with their game.
