Annnnd annnd I'm sorry.
Demyx's sing-song voice echoed around the stark, empty corridors of the castle as he bounced merrily with his many liquid-y twins.
"Dance, water, dance!"
Axel watched him, face artfully blank. He was lounging on an overstuffed and yet distinctly uncomfortable looking chair when Roxas padded up to him, sopping wet. The lithe blonde was coated in a thin layer of plain soap and had left a trail of bubbles and suds in his wake. He was wrapped in an opaque black shower curtain.
"Someone's used up all the water," he said by way of greeting. Axel tilted his head to look at him, vibrant green eyes taking in the boy's slick, wet appearance with vague interest.
"The hot water?"
"All the water," the boy repeated.
Axel turned his attention back to a certain musician, grinning a little. Roxas followed the older nobody's gaze. They watched as Demyx danced to and fro, swaying to some rhythm of his own design and twanging his sitar in cheerful dissonance. Twenty or so doppelgangers mimicked his actions gleefully, occasionally colliding into one another with a splash.
"...Oh."
Adjusting the shower curtain, Roxas wandered into the fray without another word and began rinsing his hair. Demyx twirled in circles and laughed, and Axel settled more comfortably in his chair, watching them both and enjoying the clean scent of soap.
I am so a crappy one-shot type of girl.
