Disclaimer: Kingdom Hearts and all related characters are property of Square Enix. I claim no ownership to them. Stitch belongs to Disney. Awww.

Warning(s): slight crack

Note(s): D: I'm crazy. I wrote this little drabble.. one-shot... thing last night at around 10 PM. I got the idea from an argument on whether Stitch or Sephiroth would win in a fight. It's weird. No plot. But for some reason, I like it, despite the fact that Sephiroth would probably end up killing Stitch.

Yay for acknowledging the Disney characters. :D

Experiments
By Oblivion Sky

Sephiroth has seen many things in the course of his existence. Many of those things have been strange and out of the ordinary. (His "Mother" among the strangest.)

But nothing, nothing comes close to being as strange as the creature that's currently scuttling around his feet. Six arms, countless antennas, impossibly large violet eyes, a dog-like nose, and fur the bluest color he's ever seen.

The... The thing appeared out of nowhere, somehow seeking him out even though he had hidden away in the dark depths of Radiant Garden. It didn't seem to fear him, instead scuttling up and proceeding to climb over his pretty leather boots.

Just as he's contemplating slicing the creature through with the Masamune, it wraps its many arms around one of his legs, muttering a word he doesn't recognize. And for whatever reason, Sephiroth doesn't kill the tiny beast just yet, instead simply glaring down at it with glowing green eyes.

Not hearing a response, the thing looks up at him, long ears flopping with the motion. It repeats the word, something that sounds like, "Ohana."

A frown crosses onto Sephiroth's features, but he doesn't say anything. One hand's fingering the hilt of the Masamune, his patience -- obviously -- running thin.

The creature doesn't take notice, somehow managing to use its claws to scamper up his leg and onto his shoulder. Despite the snarl that the man lets out, it continues to talk. "Ohana... means family. My family... gone. Nowhere."

Sephiroth's frown only deepens and his lips are still pulled back in that snarl. "I don't have a family," he replies through gritted teeth, and he's wondering why he hasn't killed the bloody thing yet.

The creature makes a noise that might be one of pity, or perhaps sympathy. "Family means... nobody gets left behind. I... I get left behind."

And that snarl abruptly becomes a grimace as the thing runs its tongue over Sephiroth's face, leaving a trail of thick saliva behind. But before he can shoo the beast away or at least kill it, it crawls up onto his head, leaning over so that it can peer at him upside-down.

"My name... is Stitch," it says, "I don't have family either, now."

The two stare at each other in silence, the thing's ears lifting and falling every now and then. Its unusual tongue flicks out sporadically, drops of the unearthly saliva splattering to the rock below.

And much to his surprise, Sephiroth finds his hand leaving the deadly sword. He reaches up to pluck the creature -- Stitch -- from his head, setting it none too gently on the ground. It sits there, those strange ears perked, those strange eyes staring up at him, and he frowns again.

Without a word, Sephiroth turns on his heel and sets off towards the ravine, no clear destination in his mind. He can hear Stitch following, and he lets him.

They're both forgotten experiments, after all.
