Jin sensed something was amiss the second Fuu started tossing about in her sleep. He glanced over at Mugen to see if he had noticed. It seemed quite the contrary. The ex-pirate was sprawled out on his back as usual. His loud, constant snores signified that he was deep in sleep.

The girl moaned and continued to thrash drowsily.

Jin closed his eyes and tried to fall back asleep. He was semi-conscious when he realised that his right side had suddenly become warmer. He opened his eyes just as a dainty pale hand moved in the moonlight to rest on his chest. Jin's eyes widened considerably. His sleepy mind suddenly grasped that Fuu had wiggled her way over to him and snuggled herself at his side.

Jin wasn't quite sure what to do. He contemplated sliding out from Fuu's grasp and taking her abandoned spot. Yes, that was what he was going to do.

But that idea was quickly shot down as Fuu shifted herself yet again before sighing contentedly. She unconsciously slung her left leg over Jin's hip, entangling their legs.

Jin had a special fondness for the girl. But he kept those feelings to himself because he could not have those very feelings interfere with his path. He still needed to find a reason for his life. Also, he had a suspicion that Mugen also had a certain weakness for Fuu.

Still, it didn't help that the young woman started rubbing her thigh over his, which put him in an awkward position. Just when he thought that it couldn't get any worse, Fuu started moaning, rather loudly, "Mmm… Yes… right there… mmm…"

"WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING, YOU BASTARD!"

Jin jerked his head to the side, towards the loud voice. Mugen was on his feet with his sword drawn and pointed directly at Jin.

"If you would shut up and-"

Fuu groggily lifted her head and mumbled, "Would you both shut up? I'm trying to sleep,"

The two men stared at her, slack-jawed before turning back to each other.

Jin felt Fuu's hand patting him on the chest and her toes poking his leg.

"W-wait a minute," she mumbled groggily. Once again she lifted her head and slowly took in the sight before her. "AH! I'm sorry! I didn't realise! I didn't mean to!" she exclaimed.

"You son of a bitch," Mugen growled.

"Mugen, it was an accident. Put your sword away," Fuu ordered. "Geez. You men are constantly pulling out your swords; just looking for a fight. Don't you have anything better to do?" She grumbled while moving back to her original spot.

Mugen threw another angry glare at Jin before sheathing his sword and throwing himself back on the ground. Soon his snores once again filled the area.

Jin stared up at the sky above, trying to comprehend what had just happened. That was when he heard movement and felt the familiar warmth back at his side. Smiling to himself, he situated his arms behind his head and closed his eyes.
