Under the Moon
Chapter One
Where am I? Kagome thinks. All she can see for miles is forest. She turns around. There's somthing in the bushes! Her mind is racing. Is it Inuyasha? Kagome sees dog-like ears and breathes a sigh of relief. "Inuyasha! Why are you in the bushes?" He comes out and she notices its not him. But, he looks exactly like Inuyasha! she thinks with fright. This thing looks like Inuyasha, but it has pink skin and fierce eyes. The creature walks towards her. Kagome trys to run, but her feet are glued to the ground. The clone reaches out.
"Aaahhh!" Kagome wakes up screaming. She realizes it was just a dream. Whew,she thinks with relief. The dream seemed so real. Then she hears feet pounding. Kagome groans. Her parents.
"Are you alright? You gave us quite a fright." Mr. Higurashi looked at Kagome with worried eyes. Mrs. Higurashi was right behind him.
"I'm okay. Just a bad dream." she looked back at him sheepishly.
"Okay. Goodnight."
Kagome lies back down in her bed. Was that dream a sign? She was having dreams like that a lot lately. I think something horrible is going to happen. That was her last thought. Then she goes into a dreamless sleep.
Kagome tells Sango about her dream.
"My grandfather once told me that their is a creature called a morpher that can turn into anything. Human, demon, even something as tiny as a flea!" Sango said.
"Do you think that's what the thing in my dream was?" Kagome said, her eyes wide.
"Probably."
"Ok. I...uh...gotta go." Kagome races to find Inuyasha. She sees him in his locker.
"Inuyasha!"
"Ya, what?"
"Are you, you?"
"What are you talking about?" he eyes her curiously.
That came out all wrong, she thinks.
"I...uh...mean..." Then Kagome blurts out about her dream and what Sango told her.
"Do you mean to tell me that you think I am some sort of demon disguised as Inuyasha?"
"Ya, I guess."
"Whoa. I thought you had a wild imagination, but this is totally new."
"So your the genuine Inuyasha."
"Of, course!" Then he walks off to class laughing, leaving Kagome feeling like an idiot.
I can't believe I even thought he wasn't Inuyasha. she thinks angrily. He's as arrogant as ever!
While walking home from school, Kagome sees Shippo running over to her.
"Kagome, Kagome! Come with me! There's something you gotta see!" He points to the forest.
"What is it?" A chill went down her spine. She did not want to go into any forest after that dream she had. But she had to. For Shippo.
They went deep into the forest. When they finally got to an opening, Shippo turned around.
"So, where's the big surprise?" Kagome asks in curiousity.
"There is none," Shippo says is a hideous voice.
Oh, god, Inuyasha thinks worriedly. I can sense Kagome is in trouble. I've got to find her!
"Are y...you okay, Shippo?" Kagome starts to back away very slowly.
"I'm fine...but your not going to be." Shippo starts changing into a tall, red creature with two antennas and four wings.
"Help, Inuyasha!" Kagome begins to run back into the forest, but the ugly bug gets in front of the path.
"Uh, your not going anywhere." He grabs her. "Were going to go back to the past. I believe you've been there before." A portal opens. Just then Inuyasha shows up.
"Kagome!"
"Inuyasha, help me!" The bug jumps into the portal. With Kagome. Inuyasha trys to jump in, too, but the portal closes.
Dammit! he thinks angrily. Don't worry, Kagome. I'll get you back if it's the last thing I do!
