Something felt wrong. Roy Mustang stared up at the blank, shadow-accented ceiling above him, as he lay in bed, the covers rippling around his figure. Sighing, he rubbed at his eyes, letting out a frustrated groan. This provoked a stir from his lover. Freezing, he glanced to the side, and the corners of his lips curled up slightly, at the sight of his lover sleeping so unawarely. His smile slowly transformed into a frown, and he heaved another sigh, climbing out of bed carefully.
He was heading to the window, when more stirring aroused from the bed. Turning, he saw his lover sitting up, scratching at his head.
"Go back to sleep," he said gently.
"Mm. No. I can't sleep without your warmth," his lover complained.
"I'll be back in bed soon..I just need to think…" Roy turned back to face the window.
"Mah." With sounds of rustling, Roy's lover slid out of bed, slinking over to stand at Roy's side. Roy glanced down at the golden head beside him.
"Why do you always have to be so stubborn?" He murmured, stroking the hair of his companion.
"Because I love you," he replied.
"Edo…" He sighed, his fingers disapparating from his hair. "I don't deserve your attention."
"And why is that?"
"Because….Because of all the things I've done…Not only to you…But in Ishbal, and….and…"
"Shhh." Edward, his lover, leaned up, kissing him on the lips. "You're silly. I forgive you for everything. And what about what /I/ have done?"
Roy smiled slightly. "I forgive you, too."
"There! Now, we're even. And I'm tired. SO. Back to bed." Ed began tugging on Roy's arm, trying to haul him towards the bed.
"You think a little pipsqueak like you can drag a tall person like me?" Roy snorted.
"No short jokes. It's too late for thaaat." Ed whined.
"Fine."
End of the pointless drabble!
