Disclaimer: I don't own it.

Yet another strange oneshot. I have a feeling that Athrun really does owe Kisaka his life, and if Kisaka were to ask for repayment, this is what he'd ask. Please R&R, though no flames. Only constructive critisam.

Lendor Kisaka wasn't really sure why his feet had led him to this particular deck, but it seemed his feet knew more then he did. Standing across from him, leaning heavily on the railing, was Athrun. The boy hadn't noticed him, but continued to stare absently out to sea. Softly, he aproched the young man.

'You shouldn't be out here. Being able to walk once again does not mean you should stay so long out of bed. You're still injured,' he said, injecting as much command as he could into his voice. The boy jumped and turned to him.

'Ki...Kisaka...I didn't hear you. Sorry.' It was strange to hear the boy stutter. He shook his head and leant on the railing as well. Athrun looked away. 'I was told that you saved my life.' Kisaka nodded without looking at the boy. Athrun laughed softly. 'And you were there when I self-destructed the Aegis. I beginining to feel like I owe you.'

Kisaka turned to him. 'You do,' he said blankly. The boy laughed again. 'So how do I repay you, since I owe you my life.' Kisaka shrugged.

'I'm not going to ask much of you. There is only one thing I want,' here he paused. Athrun turned to him, one hand still on the barrier. He sighed, and continued. 'I can't make you love her if you don't. I can't erase your feelings for that redhead. I can't control your feelings because they're yours. All I want you to do is explain to her. That's all I want from you. Just that.'

The boy stood frozen, his green eyes widened. 'T...that's quite a lot to ask. I don't know how. I've tried to think of ways to explain, I've had time! I just can't. I can't even make myself understand and they're my feelings! How am I going to make her understand?'

Kisaka sighed. 'Good question. But even if you can't make her understand, you at least can tell her the truth. That's an explanation in itself.' Athrun laughed bitterly.

'So just tell her that "I fell in love with the girl who saved my life even though I made a promise to you. And I can't come back to Orb with you because no matter what I do, I can't make it my home."? I can't. It'd destroy her. And I won't do that, not after everything that's happened. I can't hurt her. But I can't love her either.'

Kisaka placed a strong hand loosely around the boy's wrist. 'You'll tell her just that. Because, though it may hurt her, at least she will know and move on.' Athrun glanced up at him. 'Are you sure?' He nodded grimly, pulling the boy back indoors. Athrun shrugged and let himself be lead.

Kisaka sat in the mess hall, waiting patentialy. The door slid open silently, allowing Athrun to enter. He looked a mess. Kisaka sighed as Meyrin ran up to him and began asking him what was wrong. The boy smiled at her, and then turned to him.

Kisaka knew what that look meant, and stood up to leave.

Well kid, at least it's out. Because now you can both move on in peace.

Well, R&R?
