This isn't really a new chapter. Basically, I realized a little while ago that I made a huge mistake when I originally wrote this. Mark doesn't actually see Maureen, he just thinks that Mimi looks like her because that's all that Mark thinks about. So, I made a few changes to the original story, but then instead of just replacing the chapter I decided to post it as a different chapter.

I don't own RENT.

"There— that's her," Roger tells me, pointing.

I look to see where he's pointing.

Oh G-d. It's—

"MAUREEN!" I shout.

No. No, it can't be. Roger wouldn't do that to me. He's probably pointing at that guy who Maureen and all those are people are following.

What? No. Roger's straight. Straight. He's not pointing at that guy. And he just said "that's her." Not "that's him."

Crap. My best friend and my soul mate— I mean ex-girlfriend— are in love.

What am I going to do? If Roger goes out with Maureen, that's my whole entire reality, completely gone.

Maybe it wouldn't be that bad. Maureen could cheer Roger up.

Who am I kidding? I don't want Maureen cheering Roger up. It's Maureen. And Roger.

Wait a second. Maureen wouldn't do this. She wouldn't sleep with Roger. She has Joanne. Besides, Maureen doesn't even like candles.

Did I honestly just think that? It's Maureen. She'll sleep with anyone that looks at her.

Wait. I should be happy if Roger's found someone. I should be supportive. Besides, maybe now I can go out with Joanne. She was pretty nice. Good tangoer.

A good tangoer? She's a LESBIAN! She's not going to go out with me. And I still want Maureen back. Not Roger. Roger never like her.

This isn't fair. Why does Roger get all of the hot girls? Whenever the hot ones go out with me, there change their mind and decide to be bisexual.

Huh? What's that Roger's saying?

Oh.

"Mimi."

Just kidding.
