It stared him in the face. It was mocking him. It was fourth year all over again. The oblong orb stood on its end and was taunting him.

"Open me," it seemed to whisper to him.

Harry resisted the urge. He knew the entire household would fall over from the piercing shrieks it would emit. He was faced with a nightmare. Should he or shouldn't he?

"No, I'm not going to open you!" he screamed back in his mind.

"You will open me. You have to open me. You have to see what's inside!"

"NO!"

Harry continued to stare at the thing. The others around the table continued with their ministrations. Some had paintbrushes, others had little cups of colored liquid. No one noticed the inner turmoil he was going through. The gold and pearlescent object mocked him to no end.

He looked around one more time. That's when he felt her soft touch on his shoulder. He looked up to see her beautiful auburn hair dancing around her delicate features. She sat down beside him and picked up the monstrosity.

"Honestly, Harry! It's just an Easter egg." Ginny set it down on the table.

"Yeah, right."

Harry began painting.
