Life isn't always a fairytale.
They say that life is a fairytale,
But not for this boy from start to end.
From the age of one, till the age he dies,
He's encountered not a fairytale,
but a nightmare, the real world,
where people die, people murder,
where most of all, he is the spotlight.
Life isn't always a fairytale.
We start at the beginning,
When it all began, in the Potter home,
on that eerie night on November.
With all three there, his motives unclear,
the Dark Lord driven to massacre.
But the fates of the boy, still unknown,
the tables turned, and the Boy became,
the Boy Who Lived in celebration.
Life can change in a matter of minutes,
and off from his loving family, a new life begins.
He learns hate, sorrow, sadness, and loneness,
but he does not give in. Away from his family,
in a new place of danger, no one knows,
why is he here instead of with a family?
But not all is lost on the eve of his birthday,
when he learns of Hogwarts, magic, and life.
His first year at Hogwarts, a new life,
a new beginning, he meets new friends,
so different from his previous life.
But Voldemort is back, and he must stop him,
the Philosopher's Stone is his last step,
to immortality. Snape, Quirrel,
all confused and cynical , the hero was,
and still is, a hero. And the Stone is rescued.
But triumph still does not ensue,
And another year, and another adventure,
bring to light a mysterious Chamber.
Petrifyed Cats, Balisks and all,
his life gets more adventures when
his closest friends little sister,
trapped within evil's clutches is saved from,
the Boy Who Lived, a true Gryffindor.
Win after Win, Defeat after Defeat,
the Dark Lord still does not give up.
When his unknown Godfather escapes from Prison,
the World believes he comes to kill Harry.
A rat-like fellow all cunning and cowardly,
escapes the claws of a framed man.
With the life of Buckbeak close to an end,
Harry saves both the bird and his godfather.
His latest adventure, three tasks in one,
to win the gold for Hogwarts turns from competitive
to death. First task to rescue a golden egg, successful,
Second task to save his friend, yet again, triumph.
Third and final, a maze of sorts, he's brought to evil,
and he is the witness to death one again. Saddened,
he brings the body back, and once again, lives.
But win after win, will that be the way,
it has been foretold, but we will not know.
The pen hits the ink, after seven years,
the adventure will come to a close,
only time will tell, if this brave soul,
will win the gold, and his life.
Life isn't always a fairytale,
but then, what is?
The End.
