Raven and Beast Boy share an unusual conversation that really had nothing to do with what they aimed for. One-shot, see it as you will.

Raven. She sits on the sofa, in an unusually casual attire. Dark and expressive, just like her, he thinks. The expression on her face is unreadable, yet he understands every emotion she tries to mask at these moments. She appears bored, weary, and somewhat irritated. Her eyes betray her. They are lonely and calling, lost and sorrowful. His eyes say this too, but no one dares to look past his happy, laughing exterior. He knows the feeling of rejection, and so does she. They are so alike, but neither choose to face this fact. They are too busy perfecting their masks.
Beast Boy. He has an arm draped over the sofa, lazily leaning against it, he too, oddly casual. Different and meaningful, just like him, she thinks. His expression is one that is easy to read: tired, bored, and flat-out lonely. He appears just as he is, and yet, his eyes betray him. They are just like hers. Behind this painful mask of hers, she longs to laugh and cry with her friends, yet knows she cannot do this. Even if she could, she knew they'd reject her. She knew, that if they knew him, they'd reject him, too. They are so very alike, but they ignore it. They are too busy trying to think of something to say.
He, of course, starts out first.
"Raven?"
She spares him an acknowledging glance and a raised eyebrow in question.
"What do you think about-- well, you know.."
Them.
"Beast Boy, I have no desire to talk about their.. dates."
"But we need to, I mean, come on. We're the only ones left! Plus, you must have some thoughts. Even someone you fancy yourself?"
He winked to emphasize his idea. Raven sighed in irritation, one hand on her face and she shook her head. She was secretly trying to hide the fact that her cheeks were lightly tinted pink.
"Well, I'm sure you have someone that you fancy, too." She half-snapped, half-teased.
"And what if I do?"
"Well, who is it?"
"You tell me first."
"I never said I fancied anyone!"
Beast Boy had a knowing smirk on his face and an eyebrow quirked, for he knew he won. She was caught, half standing, her face a dazzling shade of red, and her eyes wild. He had hit a nerve all right. Raven growled lightly under her breath before straightening herself up and sitting back down, like her small outburst had never happened. Hah, like she'd tell him who she liked! Come to think of it, though, she wanted to know who he liked.. she mentally shook her head of such thoughts. Must be the lack of sleep, she decided.
"Robin and Starfire are good together."
"I suppose so. They look a little odd, but then again.." She looked away. So did you and Terra.
"Raven, what's the matter?"
"The matter? Nothing's the matter." Oookay, little obvious there, Raven..
"Uhm.. alright.." At least he has the deceny to leave it alone.
"What about Cyborg and Bumblebee?" Beast Boy smiled at her.
"That's the spirit, Rae. And I think they're.. also odd, but hey.. what couple really isn't?"
Silence overcame the two.
"Hey, Raven?"
"Yeah, Beast Boy?"
"We should talk more often."

There we go, people. Another (crappy) attempt at Teen Titans fanfiction. I might redo A Rose to End My Sorrow, though, since it was done a long time ago.. what do you guys think?
