And brought it down
She closed her eyes
Awaiting the pain
The pain never came
She opened her eyes
A man stood in front of her
His arms stretched out protecting her
Blood dripping from his chest
" Tsu- Tsunade…" he choked out coughing up blood
" No…." she whispered and made to stand up
He shook his head and pulled his arm back
Slamming his fist into Orochimaru's stomach
He went flying across the bloodied field
She stood up and grabbed his shirt
" No…don't be a fool! Get out of here!"
" I am the only one who can defeat him" was the simple answer
" I owe a great debt to the leaf….i will not let him destroy it"
" Even at the cost of my life I will protect the leaf and you"
" Goodbye Tsunade-sama…." He turned around
She looked up into his eyes, the red eyes with three prongs
His lips brushed hers
" I love you…. always and forever"
The Uchiha prodigy ran across the field, charging the chidori as he went
Orochimaru charged at him and they hit
Blood splattered everywhere
Orochimaru fell to the ground
Sasuke looked back at her as he removed the sword from his chest
" Thank you" he said as he fell to the ground
Tears streamed down her face as she stared at the memorial
He was more than thirty years younger than her
But he loved her even though he had lost his first love
To her stupidity
Now he joined Nawaki, Dan and his love
Temari
If she hadn't asked the Sand for help that day
None of this would have happened
Temari loved him and jumped in to save him
Itachi had come to the funeral
Acknowledging his younger brother
She had resigned as Godaime
Naruto had been named Rokudaime
He had proposed to Hinata the same day
They would be married next year
Sakura was head of Konoha hospital
She had married Rock Lee after Sasuke had returned
and declared his feelings for Temari
She and Naruto had lost their best friend
They had both cried at the funeral
Even Kakashi had cried
While his love Kurenai held him
The Kazekage had been sad too
Even though he didn't really like Sasuke
He had never seen his sister happier
The whole village had been sad
If it were not for him
Orochimaru's subordinates wouldn't have retreated
And the village would have been destroyed
Although not one was as sad as Tsunade
Oh Sasuke…I'm so sorry…
