The Gate
By Areku1993
She was dragged by her ankle towards the water.
(Yes... The water.)
Tiny black hands, pulling her over.
(Pulling. Just that.)
And she began to chip away like an old painting.
(Like paint on wood during a storm.)
And she was screaming.
(The pitch was nearly inhuman.)
And I was brought back to reality.
(The reality I so wished to flee from.)
I heard her scream.
(That horrible scream.)
She was grappling away from the hands.
(She was afraid of the gate.)
Towards me.
(Just me. No one else.)
The gate.
(That evil, hateful gate.)
It was open.
(Gaping.)
There were the hands.
(Those small black devils.)
And an enormous eye.
(That hideous, sickening eye.)
I held my hand towards her.
(But she couldn't reach.)
I touched her.
(Her pale, soft skin.)
And my vision exploded.
(Like a thousand golden lights.)
I pulled her back.
(Entirely her.)
Into my arms.
(I would never let her go, never.)
She was crying.
(Tears of fear. Tears of joy.)
I was afraid for her.
(Just her.)
I'm incomplete without her.
(Complete.)
And there you have it! Didja like it? It's a freeverse poem... In which Kiba reflects on a incident that happens in the fanfiction Bleeding Martini, chapters eight and nine. So, if you didn't read that, then you're like: WTF? That was like awesome, but... What the Hell was it about? Lol, read Bleeding Martini and find out. For those who DID read it, well, this is a LITTLE preview for chapter nine, which I didn't release yet. Still in production and editing, got it? Sha, you'd better get it! XDD
