When Sakura woke up the next day she found she was lying on her bed still dressed over the sheets. Memories of the previous night came rushing back to her.

'Oh please tell me that did not happen' Sakura groaned running her hands through her hair. She go up to take a shower and change. She decided it was time for some food, as she was leaving she noticed her Jounin exam application form on her kitchen counter opened to the sponsor section.

She walked over to it and noticed that it was filled in. her eyes immediately went to the name.

"Hatake Kakashi…" his name rolled of her lips in an almost inaudible whisper. It sounded foreign to her ears.

Despite herself she smirked at his lame attempt at making amends. 'At least it's done'.

The Jounin exams were tough but Sakura really didn't have a problem. She was fast and agile. Thats what gave her, her edge over the other competitors. That and her excellent chakra control.

When the announcer said she was being sponsored by Hatake Kakashi she snuk a glance over where he was standing with Genma. If he was surprised that she kept him as her sponsor he didn't show it. Genma gave her two thumbs up and a smile for encouragement. He then promptly elbowed Kakashi and he gave a meager wave to Sakura. Who then in turn ignored him.

With Genma and Kakashi:

"Man does she hate you". Genma smirked at his silent silver haired companion.

"Thank you I can see that" Kakashi said a little harsher then intended. "Its probably better this way" he said quieter now.

Genma shook his head and sighed at is friend. "I will never understand you man".

After the exams were over and it was announced that she had in fact passed along with Hyuuga Hinata, and Nara Shikamaru (he had just got around to taken them claiming that it was to troublesome to do so earlier). Those three and a bunch of people went to a bar to celebrate.

'Any excuse to drink I guess'. Sakura just figured she'd say some quick hellos so as not to seem rude then fetch her drink and sit in a dark corner until she was good and wasted.

Sakura enjoyed watching people. She was so used to being ignored now that it didn't bother her anymore. She was watching Naruto chat up Hinata who was blushing furiously and stammering her words. Naruto of course just assumed it was because of the alcohol.

Shikamaru had his team with him. Sakura noticed Ino was sitting closer to him now than she used to. 'Interesting' she thought. Her thoughts however were interrupted by a shadow that fell over her.

"Sasuke how nice of you to grace me with your presence. To what do I owe this honor?" Sakura practically snarled at him.

Sasuke was looking at her oddly as if he was sizing up how much she was worth, which annoyed Sakura even more.

"Just… be careful" He turned to go. "Just because you have the skills to be a Jounin doesn't mean that you can handle it emotionally" with that he left her with her mouth hanging open.

Sakura had had enough of this. She got up and stormed out of the place ignoring the odd looks she was getting from some people.

She left for home without looking back. Stumbling all the way in her drunken state. Little did she know that a certain silver haired ninja was following her to make sure she made it home ok.

Once she was home she replayed what Sasuke said to her over and over again. The look on his face haunted her. "He still doesn't think I can do this! I can't win with him!" She sat down on her bed and tossed her gloves to the other side of the room. "Sakura you're just not up for this" she said mocking Sauske. "He just infuriates me!" her shoes went sailing into the next room. "And the other one!" her momories of Kakashi came sailing back too. Of how he pitied and coddled her. "I don't need him either!" she spat out.

She didn't know that Kakashi had been listing. He just wanted to make sure she got home alright… honestly. He didn't know he was going to witness her blow up. He winced when he heard her talk about him with that tone of voice. 'Sakura hating me is better. It may hurt but its better for you. I'm no good'.

"I hate them both!" she yelled. She threw her headband at the wall. It hit with a loud bang and made a dent.

Kakashi flinched and ran his hand through his hair. 'I should go" he thought. He was just about to leave when he heard it. The noise that could bend his will like fire through a forest. Loud hysterical gut wrenching sobs of the one person who he cared for most in this awful world.

Sakura curled up in a ball on her bead. She just couldn't take it anymore. "S-stupid baka sensei"

Him? It was over him she was crying? Sauske he could take. All he had to do to make himself feel better was go beat him up, but this. He couldn't fix this. 'You'll get through this Sakura I know you will, things are better this way.' He gave one last glance at her now still sleeping form. 'But you should know…even if you'll never get to hear it…"

"You were my favorite…"

He disappeared with a cloud of smoke left in his wake.

3 years into THE FUTURE! DUN DUN…….DUN DUN DUN! Xx;

Sakuras POV:

Sakura was in her favorite spot in the whole world. Under her sakura trees. Life as it were was good. She was on vacation. What does Haruno Sakura do on her vacation one might ask well the answer is… not much at all.

Each person has there own way to cope with the missions. Gai trains, Genma has his lady friends, Kakashi has his book, and Sakura has her own method. She's found it to be quit effective for her.

Thinking about it she realized it started the day after she passed her Jounin exam. She slept till noon that day and sleeps whenever she has spare time at home or on a mission. She deals with everything by not dealing with it.

Currently she was sleeping under a tree feeling the bits of sun slip through the branches. She was waiting to hear from the Hokage. She had been ANBU for quite some time now and had gone on tons of solo missions because there were no opening in any teams.

Finally Tsunade just told her to take a vacation until an opening came on a team. So she had been sleeping and training for 5 days now. She was starting to get a little bored. But as it were fate was on her side which was a rare occasion.

And ANBU ninja was suddenly standing in front of her blocking the light. Sakura slowly opened one eye to look at him.

"The Hokage has summoned you." She nodded slightly and he was gone just as sudden as he came.

Sakura took her time getting to the Hokage's office. 'Finally I'm getting assigned to a team!'

When she reached the door she quietly knocked. "Enter". Sakura entered the room but suddenly froze in place her brain all the sudden unable to comprehend what she was seeing.
