The weeks flew by for them. Kagome and Inuyasha got into a steady rhythm with her teaching him English and how to be a "proper citizen". His grasp of picking up language was amazing, Maybe it had to do with him being part demon but still It amazes her and she was so very proud of him. He made her smile.

There were moments when he would still act like he didn't understand her; whenever she would ask him something particular to do. Those activities usually have to deal with putting clothing on or shoes.

When he was too restless to stay inside;She would take him on walks through the neighborhood. Inuyasha found this village fascinating and seeing all the children running around and playing with each other. He never saw some made people in one place. He was so used to seeing animals.

These people were so strange; they walked around with their faces glued to small rectangles that brighten their still smells smoke and pollution in the air which made his noses twitch like crazy and made him sneeze. He misses the fresh air and the wild of the jungle. He sometimes tried to tell Kagome that he wanted to go back home, but He wants her to come with wanted to live in his tree house with his woman and get farway from this smelling place but he knew that this was her home. He didn't think she would ever leave this smelly metal jungle.

Kagome had to decide to take Inuyasha to the Central Park Zoo. She had Sesshomaru arrange for a car to pick them up and take them there. While they were in the car, Inuyasha was playing with the window button and watching in amazement as it went up and down. Kagome giggles at his expression as he watches the magic window. "How does this happen?'' He asked her with wonder in his voice.

"There is a machine in the side door with pulls and gigs that help the window go up and down.'' She told him, as they arrived at the zoo and stepped out of the car. Inuyasha nodded as he listened to her explanation. They were standing in front of red brick arches and Inuyasha stared at the building in awe. He smells different types of animals behind the wall. He was curious as to why he was smelling lions and tigers. "What is this? " He Asked Kagome.

She smiled at him. "It is the Central Park Zoo. Come on in.'' She grabbed his hand and dragged him in. She handed the man two pieces of paper to the zoo attendant. They went in and Inuyasha was still in awe. There were shapes of animals all over the place and she took him to the exhibit where the sea lions were living there. "Why are they are here?'' Inuyasha asked her and she watched in amazement while the sea loin floated into the water..

"Zoos are supposed to entertain and educate the public but also they are scientific research and species conservation. '' Kagome told him as she waved as the sea lions excitedly. They continued to walk around looking at different animals. They passed by king penguins and Macaroni Penguins. Inuyasha didn't like to see the animals behind the bars. The cages were not that big for should be running around and living their lives in the wild, not here in the smelling place and poke for humans amusing

"Animals should not be used for entertainment. They should be out in the wild. " He told her passionately.

"That is true, but there is poaching going on and they are slowly killing these animals. So we are trying to help them build their species back up.''

"poaching? What are they?'' He asked her as he watched the snow monkey climb up the trees. The little guy was chatting away. "Poachers are people that killed Animals for their furs and make a lot of money from the activities.''

"Why would anyone want to do that? to kill a innocent animals?''

"Humans are greedy and they only care for don't care that they are killing an entire species for their tusk or fur.'' Kagome told him sadly as she looked at him and saw his forlorn look. She felt so sorry for him. She thought this would be a fun little active and keep him out of trouble. But he looked so sad seeing all the animals in their confinement. She forgot that he didn't understand animal conversations or poaching for that matter. She reached out and held his hand.

"was that man that was with you when you find me; a poacher?'' Inuyasha asked as he recalled the dark hair curly man; that tried to kill him. Kagome nodded her head. "Yes, he is. We just thought he was just our guide and he was helping us looking for the ape nest. My brother went to the jungle to study the habit of the apes and I went with me to draw different animals''

Inuyasha just nodded his head in agreement. They finally reach their way to the snow leopard exhibit. Inuyasha just watched the young animal just laying there hopeless in his eyes. He wants to break everyone of these animals out and take them back to the jungles which they belong to. He watched the crowd looking on at the leopard and how excited all the children were to see the huge beast, but didn't they see how the animal was suffering in his captive.

A little blond hair boy was so excited to see the kitty cat that he leaned too far over the rail .That he fell into the leopard pit. His mother let out a scream when she saw her child fall into the animal pit. The little boy let out a cry and landed on his back. He started to whimper in pain. The loud noise causes the leopard to jump to its feet and find the child. The leopard started to stalk toward the child. The crowd started to yell and cried out for the zoo keeper or someone to help the poor child.

"Oh no!'' Kagome cried out; when she saw the child fall in the pit. She grabbed onto Inuyasha's arm in fear. "Someone need to help that poor boy before the leopard attack him.''

Inuyasha look and saw the poor mother broke down and hearing the poor boy whimpers. Inuyasha took it upon himself and jump down into the pit. He landed on his feet and rushed over toward the boy. Inuyasha kneel down next to the little one. "Are you okay? anything hurts?'' He asked the little boy. He pick up the boy and stood him onto his feet.

The little boy nodded his head. He felt a little better now that there was an adult with him now. "I am okay. I hurt my elbow but otherwise I am good.'' the little boy said as he sniffed and whipped his nose with his sleeves. He then looked behind the dog-ear man to see the leopard ready to pounce.

"Mister! Watch out" the little boy yelled out as he watched the leopard pounce on Inuyasha.

Inuyasha turned around and caught the leopard's mouth with his bare hands. He heard the crowd gasp out in fear. Inuyasha looked into the leopard's eyes. He saw fear and anger in his eyes.

Kagome's heart dropped when she saw the snow leopard leapt toward Inuyasha. She saw him stopped the beast from taking a chuck out of him. She prayed that Inuyasha and the little boy would be okay. She saw the Zookeeper's storm toward the exhibit with tranquiler's guns in their hands. 'Come on Inuyasha. Get out of there.'

Inuyasha closed the leopard's snort. "We are leaving, my friend. The boy didn't mean to enter into your territory'' Inuyasha told the leopard as he stared deep into the animal's eyes. The leopard leapt away from the dog-ear man and stalked away. Todd ran up to Inuyasha and grabbed onto his leg. Inuyasha sensed that there were others in the pit with them. He saw that there were men with those guns in their hands and posed to shoot. He needs to get the boy out of there. He didn't know if he could trust those men. He grabbed the little boy and jumped back onto the landing where Kagome and the boy's mother was.

He landed and released the boy. his mother ran up to him. She grabbed her boy and cried happy tears. She looked at Inuyasha. "Thank you so much for saving my boy.'' She gasped out and then ran up and hugged Inuyasha. She cried into his chest. Inuyasha looked to Kagome for help. He needs her to get this woman off him ASAP. Kagome just smiled at him. She was so happy to see that they are good.

He mouths the word "Help.'' towards Kagome. The woman let go of him and grab her son and keep him close to her. Kagome walked up to him and patted him on his arm. "Good Job. I am so happy that you and the boy are okay.'' Kagome told him with a smile. "Let go Home.''

The next day, Inuyasha and Kagome went into the city so they could go shopping for him. While they were out, people stopped them and took pictures with the hero who saved the boy from the leopard. It was so funny the first time, someone went up to Inuyasha to ask for his picture. He just gave them a confused look and then looked at Kagome.

"They want to a picture with you.'' Kagome took the girl's phone for the pictures and she helped pose Inuyasha in an acceptable pose. He just gave her a confused look as the two girls crowd him and put their arms around them. "Smile, Inuyasha.'' He gives a light smile to Kagome. His smile made Kagome's heart flutter. She gave the girls back their cellphones and she looped her arm through Inuyasha's arm.

"Kagome, Why did they stop us?'' He asked her, as his eyes darted all over the place while they were in time square."They want to take a picture with the famous wild man."

"Why?"

Kagome looks at him as they walk down the sidewalk of New York city. "You don't know why? You save a boy from the leopard and the fact the you are the lost son of Inutaisho and Izayoi whom was found in the jungles of Africa.''

Inuyasha took it in stride. He didn't understand the fascination with him. "Where are we going?'' He asked Kagome and they passed different shops. " We are going to go shopping and get you some more clothes!'' Kagome said excitedly as she dragged him into a clothing store. Inuyasha stepped into the building and saw all the blank face mannequins with clothing on.

Kagome was looking for blue jeans for him. He growled at her. He need not like these clothes. He didn't like these leg wraps. He missed having his legs being free. He also missed having the freedom to move around. He did love to spend time with Kagome, but he did miss hanging in the trees and running with the cheetahs.

"Kagome!'' Someone yelled his girl's name. Inuyasha turned around and saw a woman with brown hair pulled into a ponytail run toward Kagome. He growled and ran to block the woman from reaching her. He stops the woman and growls at her. This new woman was not afraid of him. "Sango!'' Kagome exclaimed. She stepped aside from Inuyasha's back. "Inuyasha! This is my friend, Sango!'' She stepped in between the two of them.

"I don't know her. I don't think she should have ran to you.'' Inuyasha said, as he growled low at Sango. The new woman just glared back at him. "So this is the famous wild man.'' Sango said sarcastically as she crossed her arms across her chest.

"Yes, Sango, this is Inuyasha. Inuyasha, this is my best friend, Sango. We have know each other since the first grade.'' Kagome said as she gave Sango a side hug and smiled at her friend. Sango returned her own smile. Inuyasha just huffed and crossed his arms and walked away.

"Well grouchy guy, isn't he?'' Sango said as she watched him walk away and he started to touch different things in the store. Kagome giggled. "Yeah but he is really softie." She stared at him admirably.

"How are you doing? It has been forever since I saw you." Sango told her as they both started to look through the racks of clothes. "It is going well for the most part. It is a learning curve with Inuyasha. He understand me most of the days but there are times when he revert back to his old wild man ways.''

Sango hmm. Kagome talks about what Inuyasha and her have been doing and where they have been going.

A Young tanned man walks into Naraku's office. He looked up from his computer screen. "Anything to report?'' Naraku asked as he leaned back in his chair and folded his hands across his stomach. The young man turned his cobalt eyes to Naraku and gave him a wicked smile. "The Wild man is in love with the young girl''

This news caused Naraku's smile to grow wider. "Good. You know what you need to do.'' Naraku said. The Young man nodded his head and walked out of the room.
