"Have you ever wanted somebody that bad?

I know you know what I'm talking about so don't pretend that you don't.

Even people without hearts, without souls, know what it's like to want someone they can't have.

You want them so bad you can almost taste their lips on yours. You want his hands on your skin, your sweaty bodies pressing against each other.

You want HIM.

And there are just some things you can't tell your best friend, you know?

I mean, you're close, there's no one you're closer to, but you have to have something that's about you and not them. Even though you have to have that something away from them, you feel the need to share it with someone else.

That's why I'm here.

I can't tell Will. She wouldn't understand. I mean, she's God knows where right now, most likely with Oz, still pining over Xander, but there's a difference between pining and lusting.

If she had five minutes alone with Xander, what do you think she would do?"

Cordelia made a face. "Not my favorite part of the game."

"Humour me."

She rolled her eyes. "They'd probably hold hands and buy ice cream off the truck or something. They'd have the same date they would've had when they were ten."

"Exactly. That is soooooooo not what I want to do to Angelus."

"Buffy? Do you think maybe you have a chemical imbalance or something? I mean, I know I'm supposed to be the friend here and all, but I can't help thinking either you've gone psycho like Drusilla or you're under one of Amy's freakish spells."

The blonde Slayer laughed and pushed her hair behind her ear. "You know the worst thing?"

"You want him so bad it hurts?"

"How'd you know?"

Cordy glanced at the open door to Giles' office, imagining him inside, reading from a book and furrowing his brow every few seconds. "Not everyone is with the person they lust after, Buffy."

"Gotcha," Buffy said. "Thanks for listening." she left the library and shook her head as she walked down the halls of the high school. "Who would've thought Cordy had a thing for Oz?"
