Title: Montana
Rating: OMG a G fic...from me…
Disclaimer: Nothing is I owning.
Summary: Montana was always beautiful in the winter. Futurefic.
A/N: I actually have nothing to say about this fic, except that it's my first Danny/Lindsey fic. I LUFF that couple.
She had taken him to Montana for Christmas. It was the first time she had been back in a very long time. After moving to New York, she just hadn't had enough time to come back. Her mother had pestered her for years about coming home, but after several hundred 'Sorry, mom. I can'ts,' she lost hope. She didn't think that she could go back after what had happened, it was too hard. But she had finally made it back, three years after leaving. It was still the same. Same snow covered pines and spruces. Same ski slopes. Same mountains. Same death and destruction as everywhere else. But still beautiful.
She stood on the balcony outside of the hotel room they had rented. Her family home was packed with other relatives, relatives that had gotten here early. So she and Danny had gotten a hotel. It was nice actually, not having to share a bathroom with Great Aunt Margaret, or share her old room with her twin eight year old nieces. Here she could have privacy, or as much privacy you can have with a man with only one thing on his mind in such a romantic location.
Their room overlooked the stunning Bitterroot Mountains, which made for a fantastic view, and that's what he found her staring at this particular morning. He pressed his chest to her back and wrapped his arms around her waist, resting them on her slightly swollen belly. She was short enough that his chin rested on the top of her head. He felt her relax against him and smiled into her hair. He knew of the thoughts that ran through her head, as she had told him all of her nightmares, the things that had happened all those years ago.
"Montana's beautiful, isn't it?" she asked, looking out over the mountains.
He pulled back slightly, tilting his head to look at his fiancée. "Yeah. Yeah she is," he replied before pulling her back inside.
A/N: So I'm not so sure I like this that much. I wanted to end it differently, but I couldn't figure a way to do it. Oh well I kind of like it. I do like the ending even if it's not the way I planned it. What do y'all think? I know nothing of Montana as I live in Texas, and the closest I've come to real snow is the kind you can spray into the corners of your windows. Please review.
