Disclaimer: Not mine, not mine at all. All J.K. Rowlings'. Sad, isn't it? Although, I have to suppose that people really wouldn't want to know what I would do with them if I did have them...
Author's Notes: This was actually the first fanfic that I wrote and completed- the first one that made it anywhere and that didn't feel completely awkward. I'm... proud? to say that it's completely, utterly pointless. It doesn't even have a plot. One thing that I think whenever I read this is that someone could probably draw some pretty cute pictures to go with it.
Interrupted
"Sirius!" James Potter yelled, his face reddening as his green eyes glinted. "Can you stop it for just one moment so that I can talk to Remus!"
Sirius gave in and sank onto the couch beside his boyfriend, grinning devilishly. He didn't say anything, but his flushed face and tight grip on Remus' hand showed clearly what he was thinking.
James shook his head. True, the two of them had been alone in the Griffindor common room, but the least that they could have done was to have shown a little common courtesy. I mean, he thought, I can think of some girls who'd like to see it, but anyway... Shaking off thoughts of Lily possibly being part of that group (she had said that they made a cute couple, after all...), James drew a deep breath. "Thank you. Anyway, Remus..."
Remus gazed at his friend from his seat beside Sirius. His cheeks were still a few shades pinker than normal as he blinked his amber-brown eyes at James. "Yes, James?"
Running a hand through his already messy hair, James said, "I'm... sorry that I interrupted you. I just wanted to know if you would help me on my Divination essay later, and Lily told me that she wanted to talk to you when you had a chance."
Sirius opened his mouth to say something, but Remus rested a finger across his lips, effectively distracting him. "Of course I will, James, you know that, and I'll talk to Lily next time that I see her. Did she say what she wanted to talk about?"
James shrugged. "Something about Prefect duties. I wasn't really paying attention to her voice. Mainly I was just supposed to tell you-"
"-and you have," Sirius interrupted impatiently. "Now that that's over with, if you would please just leave? Remus and I were having a perfectly good snog before you interrupted us."
James looked like he was about to retort, but one glance at the pleading look on Remus' face told him that he that this was one battle that he shouldn't fight. "All right, I'll leave you two to it. Just, please, either finish or relocate to the dormitories before people start coming back in, okay?"
Sirius laughed and pulled Remus gently (if more then a bit possessively) up against him again. "Sure, James!" he called, "You just don't want Lily to see!" His only answer was the sound of the portrait-hole slamming shut.
Still laughing, he kissed Remus at first gently, then more passionately. The other boy returned the sentiment and they snuggled together on the couch to spend the rest of the afternoon in comfort and each other's arms.
