Unedited. Sorry for the mistakes. I'm not sure about the rework of this chapter. It's making things progress a little more quickly than I originally had it. Enjoy though!

Chapter fifteen:

The financial paperwork for Date Escape, the new Weasley wheeze, piled up.

By the time Ginny was finished with it all she realized going home to change wasn't an option, at least, not if she wanted to be on time. Ginny hated late dates herself, so she quickly performed a cleansing spell with a flare that gussied up her hair so that half of it was up in bobby pins and the other half curled around her face. She glanced at her black work ensemble, suddenly glad she'd decided to wear such a tight fitting shirt and matching handkerchief skirt because it made her look casual and not fancy. This wasn't a fancy date. It was just dinner. Just dinner.

At Pansy's house. Alone.

Licking her bottom lip, she swallowed. If Pansy had been a guy, Ginny could've assumed a sparkly ending to the night, but Pansy wasn't a guy.

What was Pansy expecting to happen?

Would they kiss again?

For the first time that week, Ginny was glad she'd snagged a few how-to guides. She reached into her desk, blushing at the lesbian sexual content and suggestive images on the front of the manuals, and stuffed them into her purse. The more she'd thought about it, the more the idea started to settle in. It was a date. They were dating. Dating means extra... things. Happy things. With happier, explosive endings. Sniffling, she smoothed her hands down the front of her outfit and headed for the door.

"Going on your date?"

The scream lodged in her throat and she clutched her bag, getting ready to swing if she needed as she turned towards the voice. It was Malfoy in his office, his door wide open, sitting in the shadows like some lurker.

She slapped a hand to her chest with a gasp of relief. "What are you doing here? Are you trying to give me a heart attack?" When he didn't respond immediately she heaved a sigh and stomped towards him.

It was dark, but now that she was closer to him she could see him clearly. If he hadn't just spoken to her, she would've thought he was lost in thought. "Hey! Are you gonna answer me?"

He jolted and his gaze focused. She folded her arms across her chest.

"Got lost in your thoughts? I understand, that's unfamiliar territory for you, Malfoy."

Draco shifted to his feet with such grace that Ginny wondered if he'd been a cat in another life. "Talk to Pansy about how you feel."

"Draco, it's really none of your business."

"It is my business!" His shout startled her and her eyes widened as he advanced towards her. "Everything about the two of you is my business."

Ginny scoffed and leaned against the entrance of his door way. "Only in your imagination."

He stopped merely inches away from her. His face so close she could smell the faint minty chocolate on his breath. "I want you to tell her."

Ginny raised an eyebrow, waiting for him to elaborate, but he didn't. "Tell her what?"

Draco lifted his arm up, resting his forearm just above her head, brining himself closer to her. Her breath caught as she tried to lean away, but only managed to push herself back into the side panel of the door entrance.

"That the thought of making love to her grosses you out. It does, don't deny it. I saw your face. You need to tell her. It isn't fair to string people along like they're some pet."

Ginny flinched at the accusation. "I'm not treating her like a pet! She's not a pet. And potentially having sex with her does not gross me out! I just need to get used to the idea, just like I had to get used to having sex with guys."

Draco grimaced, his shoulders slumping so that his chest brushed against hers. Ginny felt her eyelids flutter shut at the contact and she struggled to keep herself still. To keep herself from pushing against him. Why did she respond to him this way?

"It's different though, isn't it?" he asked, his voice soft and suggestive, as if he was trying to make there actually be a difference. "You like men. I know you do."

It was strange that his demand almost sounded like a plea and Ginny found herself wondering if he was trying to convince himself or her of it.

Ginny shrugged. "I don't know anymore. All I do know is that when I'm with Pansy, I-I like the way she makes me feel. She doesn't look at me like a piece of meat –well, not all the time. She didn't think it was necessary I go down on her the first date and she didn't call me a frigid bitch when I didn't, or force me to do it against my will. I feel safe with her. We can have conversations that don't revolve around sex or what I need to do to better please her. And she makes me laugh."

Draco bit his bottom lip and dropped his forehead to hers. Their noses touched and as he spoke his breath coaxed her lips to part. "What kind of men have you dated?" he whispered. "I could-" Something flashed in his eyes and he cleared his throat, dropping his gaze.

"You could what?"

He let out a sort of scoffing laugh. "Nothing. Never mind. I just think you should be honest with yourself. Save both you and Pansy some unnecessary heartache."

It was a snarky, rude comment that was meant to anger Ginny, but she hadn't listened to his words. She'd watched his face and felt his body. Mentally he was drawing back, but physically he was coming closer. It was the way his eyes never lifted from his down cast gaze, an abnormally wrong response from Draco Malfoy, and the way she felt him shiver against her. She wasn't thinking when her hand shot out and cupped his face. His liquid silver eyes showing his surprise as she pulled his face even closer towards hers.

When their lips met it was like a series of explosions had gone off in her head, each one getting bigger the longer they touched. He jerked away, startled. His eyes searching hers for half a minute before Ginny's other hand came up and pulled him down again.

This time it was a furious frenzy of sucks, bites, and licks. Draco's arms fluidly rushed behind her stretching back, pushing her body flush with his.

Finally, was all Ginny could think as her aching breasts made contact with his chest. She felt like she'd just been thrown into a fire and Draco was the only water nearby. If Ginny had been in her right mind the comparison would've made her eyes roll.

She let out a whimper and impatiently threaded her fingers into his hair. His hands smoothed down her back with circular soothing strokes as if trying to calm them both down. It was a valiant attempt, but the lower he got the more Ginny could feel the dampness seeping through her knickers.

Letting out a growl her hips knocked forward, and that seemed to be enough as Draco's large hands dropped down and cupped her arse. He lifted and her legs instantly wrapped around his waist as he made way for his desk.

"No," Ginny managed as she tore her lips away from his.

Before he could protest, Ginny dropped her legs and swiveled him around, forcing him to sit on the desk. With her hands on his shoulders, she hauled herself up, straddling his lap. "Don't let me fall," she whispered into his ear, causing him to violently shudder under her.

"Never," he said, panting against her cheek.

Ginny pulled away slightly, maintaining eye contact as she slid her hand down the front of his chest, towards his zipper. It wasn't the sound of it unzipping that stopped her, or his hands pushing her panties aside, or the idea that she'd almost cheated on Pansy with Draco Malfoy of all people. It wasn't even the look of utter adoration in his eyes. She'd known, somewhere down deep, that Draco had feelings for her and had had them for a while.

Time seemed to stand still as she felt him shifting under her, pushing the tip of his cock against the lips of her pussy. His angelic features lost in a euphoria she'd been hoping to have too.

He was a part of her life. Draco Malfoy was a part of her life. That is what stopped her. She couldn't let this go on.

With a wrenching gasp, she slammed a hand against his chest, and leapt off his lap.

"No, please," he cried out trying to pull her towards him.

And Merlin how she wanted to give into his plea. She was drenched and aching for him. Ginny dug her finger nails into her palms. "This was a mistake. I'm glad it didn't get any further."

A pause and heaving breath sounded as she watched Draco calm his body and register what she'd said. "I see," he said, his voice cold and distant yet still slightly out of breath.

"Don't," Ginny whispered, buttoning her shirt – she hadn't even realized he'd done it. "Don't be like that. I'm sorry I let it get this far."

"Why the hell do you hate me so much? Haven't I done enough to prove to you that I'm not the bad guy anymore? I can't take this..." he started, but stopped and his jaw clenched, his hands gripping the edge of the desk.

Ginny took a cautious step forward, reaching out towards him, but he jerked from her hand. "Draco, it's because I don't hate you that I stopped it. Don't you get it? You're invested in this company and..."

"Oh no. Do not make this about business."

Ginny heaved a sigh. "That's not what I was doing. Not really. You're a part of my life. Do you understand? You may be our boss, but you're also a friend to my brothers, even Harry. I mean," Ginny laughed to try and stop her eyes from welling up, "when it doesn't work between us what's gonna happen?"

"Why wouldn't we work?"

"You're a cat!"

Draco's brows furrowed. "I'm sorry?"

Ginny shrugged. "I'm a dog. We don't and have never gotten along. So I-"

Draco's shoulder's lifted and fell in a scoff. "So you're scared."

"Yes! I am."

He lifted himself from the desk and walked towards her, settling his hands on her shoulders. "Don't be scared. Do you know how long I've been in love with you?" His hands lifted, fingers twining with strands of her hair.

Ginny felt the shock wash over her. She'd known, but he'd never come out right and said it so specifically. "You love me?" Ginny sniffled and leaned into the warmth seeping from his hands.

"How could I not love you?" He leaned forward and captured her lips in a quick kiss. "And this whole thing with Pansy..."

Her heart dropped to her stomach and she pulled away from. "Pansy. I-I'm serious about trying this with her."

He blinked rapidly, looking baffled. "D-didn't you hear what I said? I love you, Gin."

Ginny dropped her gaze from his searching eyes. "I heard you. I-I have feelings for you. Didn't really want to admit to them honestly, but I need to explore this-this turn of events with Pansy. Do you understand?"

The swallow she heard from Draco sounded like a ton of bricks. "I won't give up," he said in warning.

Ginny knew this thing with Draco was wrong on so many levels. She couldn't help thinking that sometimes it was the wrong stuff that felt the best though.

When Ginny finally left for Pansy's she was only ten minutes late.
