What I Learned from Wrestling (A Tribute to Eddie Guererro)

The entire world of sports entertainment mourns over the loss of Eddie Guererro, a man who is considered by many to be an icon in the world of sports entertainment. He was found dead this morning by his nephew Chavo Guererro Jr. in his hotel room.

Eddie was more than just a wrestler. He was a husband, a father, a friend, an uncle, and a brother. He was an idol for some; the guy everyone loved to love, and loved even more to hate. He was all about lyin, cheatin and stealin, and no one had a problem with that...i know i sure didn't.

I'm nearly fluent in spanish...and whenever i heard him shout iViva la Raza!...he was shouting "Long live the race"...he was proud of his heratage, and i know that Mexicans, as well as Mexican-Americans are proud of him...

Eddie Guererro was one of my favorite wrestlers...i can still remember vividly alot of his most infamous moments in the WWE...when he dated Chyna...when he and Chavo joined together to be Los Guererros, (he had long hair back then) even before that, when he was in WCW with Booker T, and Rey Mysterio, when he was in ECW with Chris benoit, Chris Jericho, Tommy Dreamer and RVD...i rememeber the Dominic scandal..probably the one time i loved most to hate him...he was a character alright, and truely a member of everyone's family.

It's funny how one minute, you can be laughing, and joking with someone, wake up the next morning, and they're gone...let Eddie Guererro's Death be a lesson to you. That you should Live Life to the fullest, and make sure that if you love someone, they know because you might not have a chance to tell them.

Fear is only a four letter word...the Hardy Boyz taught me that... It means basically, that the only thing to fear...is fear. Don't be afraid to try something new...life's too short to wonder 'What If?'

Eddie Guererro is gone. But his legacy will live on...

Viva La Raza, Eddie...forever and always
