-Epilogue-

5years...

No sun, no rain, no wind could make those memories fade away... Yuna knew this, but still she smiled everyday and cherished them from the bottom of her heart.

You gave me love, you gave me strength and hope. When my days were dark and no light seemed to be able to reach the depth I was in, you came and with you the will to survive and see this thing called life through.

My life has changed a lot since I last saw you. I am married now and happy once again. Our son is happy too, though he knows that the man that I love now isn't his true father. You should see him, my love, he is so bright! He inherited your intelligence, that's for sure.

The reason why I haven't written you this letter in five years is because I needed the time to burry my love for you. Those past five years have been hard on me without you. I still miss you, but when I look at our son, I feel your presence and I know that you're there... watching over us.

My love, I am expecting again. The baby is due to come in 2weeks.

The man that I have chosen is none other than the man you saved me from in the very beginning... Knowing you, I know that you wouldn't approve seen the things he did to me in the past... but those things happened back then and we can't change that. All we can do is change the present and he has. He is no longer the man I used to fear. My love, please believe me when I say that he is the one who makes me happy...and our son too. He is so good to him. Edan is almost like his own child. Oh, he is so excited about the venue of his little sibling.

Our family is growing and it wouldn't have been possible if it hadn't been for him. I love my husband with all my heart, my love, he is my source of joy.

But know that no one will ever replace you. You were the one who taught me how to feel loved and love back unrestrained. You were my guardian angel, my comfort during weary days. I will never forget you.

I thank you for having stepped into my life. I thank you for everything you did. I thank you because you were you.

I will never forget you.

She put down her fountain-pen and looked at the words she had just written in her journal. She sighed and closed the book, then put it in a drawer. Standing up and walking towards the open windows, Yuna made sure she made no sound to wake her husband who was sleeping peacefully beneath the white blankets. A soft breeze was playing with the light curtains, sending in the scent of an early summer morning. She stepped out onto the balcony and looked at the splendid view she had of the awakening Bevelle, her hometown. She had seen this scenery so many times, but each time it made her silent and appreciate the things she had.

Taking a deep breath and stretching out a little, she smiled as she felt a soft kick in her lower belly.

"Good morning down there. What do you think we go wake up dad?"

She smiled and re-entered the room. Yuna sat herself down on the bed and softly blew into Tidus' face. He slightly stirred and wiggled his nose a little. She giggled and shook her head.

"I know you're awake, stop pretending." She smirked. One blue orb opened itself and looked at her. Yuna giggled more. "The other one too."

He opened both of his eyes and gave her a drowsy smile. "I was having such a nice dream." He pouted. "About you."

"Good thing I woke you up then, because you have me for real in front of you."

"You know I can't wait to love you the way I want so badly. Two weeks seems such a long time." He whispered, caressing a lock of hair out of her face. Yuna laughed.

"Well, it's your own fault and by the way, make that three weeks. I will be sore from the labour." She giggled. Oh, she knew she was teasing him badly. He groaned and threw a pillow on his face. She laughed harder and laid herself next to him, kissing his firm right shoulder and removing the pillow from his handsome face.

"I love you." She whispered and hugged herself against him.

"I love you too." He responded and kissed her forehead. Their eyes locked and a moment later they were involved in a passionate kiss.

Little hands pushed against the white door and fast little feet ran to the bed the two were kissing in.

"Mommy! Tidus!"

Tidus and Yuna broke the kiss as they felt a small weight drop itself on their bed and crawl towards them.

"Good morning sweetheart." Yuna greeted, kissing her son on his forehead.

"Hi champ." Tidus greeted in turn. Edan released himself from his mother's grip and crept over to Tidus.

"Tidus, you promised we were going to see uncle Wakka play today! I want to see Vidina! And aunt Lenne too!" the little boy squeaked, throwing himself onto the blonde, who fell back on the bed and laughed while Edan kept pushing him down.

"Wow, kiddo!" he laughed, "Easy. Now, what did I tell you about promises?"

"Never make one unless you're keeping it." The boy answered, pressing his little hands onto Tidus' chest, a huge grin on his face and his soft grey eyes glistening from the excitement.

"Aha. That's it." Tidus smiled. Edan got off him and crept over to his mother.

"Yay! Mom, we're going to see aunt Lulu and aunt Lenne today!"

Yuna smiled and put up big playful eyes, "That's going to be fun isn't it? But you must promise me that you will be nice to Ella, Edan. You really hurt her last time."

"Ow." The little boy pouted, his grey orbs looking down in shame. "Vidina and me we're only having fun..."

"That is still not a reason Edan, Ella really got hurt. She is not big enough to play the rough games you and Vidina play." Tidus spoke, reprimanding.

"Ok." He whispered, "I'm really sorry mommy. I won't do it again." the regret was evident in his slightly shaking voice and Yuna took him in her arms.

"It is ok, no need to cry. Shh... But it isn't to me that you have to apologise, but to aunt Lenne, ok? You will do that when we see her?" She smiled at Tidus when she felt him nod his head fervently. "Good, now go wait for me in the bathroom. I'll be right there. Give me a kiss." Edan looked up and gave his mother a kiss and then turned around to give one to Tidus too. He then slid off the bed and ran out of the room.

"Do you think your brother will be there too?" Yuna asked, standing up.

"I don't know, Lenne said he would be busy with his work, but it wouldn't surprise me to see him there. It's the finals of the blitz season and Wakka's last match, so I would say expect him to be there."

Yuna smiled and shook her head. "I still can't believe that he and Lenne are married and have a beautiful little girl."

"Yeah... I'm really thankful that you matched them up, Yuna. I don't think I would ever have gotten that idea." Tidus said, standing up and stretching himself out.

She nodded and just watched him. "I'm happy she found someone to love. It's funny how things have changed in the last 5years." She whispered.

He nodded and walked up to her, "Lulu and Wakka married and parents of a 4 year old boy. Lenne and Shuyin married and parents of a 3 year old girl." When he reached her, he put his hands on her shoulders. "And us, married and parents of a 5year old boy and expecting another." He kissed her on her lips and ran a hand over her belly.

"Mommy, I'm ready!"

"Ok, darling, I'm coming."

She turned around to look at her husband and ran a hand over his cheek. "I'm so happy to have found you again. The time that I'm spending with you makes up for all the pain I've lived in my past. I love you. You complete me. You make me happy, more than any other man has ever done before. And the memories that I have of all those who were close to me and departed are cherished, no matter how painful they are. There is another side to everything, you have shown me that, and I understand now. I love you."

Tidus just kept staring at her, on the edge of shedding tears. "Yuna, I... don't know what to say..." He whispered, covering her hand with his on his cheek.

She smiled at him and took him in her arms.

"There is no need to. I know. That's all that matters."

-FIN-

I thought I would never again add a chapter to this abandoned story of mine from over 10 years ago.

Recently though, I was getting messages from a rather insistent reader and it made me look at this story again and wishing that I had finished it. I couldn't find it anywhere though, or remember where I had posted it and where not. I had given up hope of ever finding the complete, uncensored version of it.

And then, through a weird twist of luck, I was going through some old CD's that I had once burned a decade ago and popped a nameless disc in my laptop. Lo and behold, I found the complete and finished version of this story saved on it!

I'm grateful and happy that I got to share the final chapter with all of you, finally!

Come to think of it, it is a nice way to celebrate the tenth year of my fanfiction writing and to see how much my writing has evolved over the years.

I want to thank you, Mentat367 for never letting up. You kept this story on my mind and now, thanks to you it is complete.

And of course, thank you to all of you, who took the time to read this story.

Take care everyone,
