AN: A little tribute to Seto Kaiba on his birthday...

Disclaimer: The Kaiba brothers are not mine… 'nuff said.

It was late. Seto Kaiba entered his room, lit only by the moon filtering through the giant window on the far wall. He shut the door and strolled over to his bedside table, dropping his briefcase next to it.

He went to sit down on the bedbefore a small moan preceded the feel of a small body underneath his bed covers. Immediately he stepped away from the bed and turned on the light, "Mokuba?"

"Nii-sama?" came the sleepy voice of his younger brother. Suddenly assaulted by the light Mokuba fought to keep his eyes open, "What's going on…?"

Seto relaxed his shoulders and sighed, "What are you doing in here? You knew I'd be home late…" he gently chided his younger brother.

Mokuba tried to rub the sleep from his eyes, "I wanted to say goodnight to you…and give you this," he removed the deep blue covers to reveal a brightly wrapped present sitting next too him.

Seto eyed the present for a moment, "You should be in bed," he said sternly. Mokuba rolled his eyes as discreetly as he could, "ok, ok" he said, walking over to his brother and giving him a small hug, "Goodnight Niisama, Happy Birthday…" he let go and walked to the door adjoining their rooms.

Seto watched Mokuba leave, then went over to his bed and picked up the present. He slowly inspected the box, lifting the lid and pealing away the transparent white paper surrounding the object inside.

It was a light blue dress shirt, cuffs and collar each adorned with a Blue Eyes White Dragon. He held it up, it was custom made. Mokuba must have gone to great lengths to make sure he didn't know about this.

As Seto turned it around he noticed something embroidered on the inside of the collar. With closer inspection his adoration faded to surprise.

"To another year of promises kept and dreams fulfilled – Love always, Mokuba"

Seto stared at it for awhile, momentarily baffled. After a good while of gathering his scattered thoughts, he placed his gift carefully back in the box, and went to his brothers room.

Slowly opening the door, Seto saw his brothers form buried deep in the covers of his bed. He walked up to the side and knelt down. He carefully positioned a hand to brush Mokuba's bangs aside, getting a better look at his younger sibling, "…Goodnight Mokuba," he whispered.

As Seto left the room, Mokuba opened one eye to watch him leave, and after the door was safely closed he replyed, "I love you too big brother…"

AN: Review! I need to know what you think of what you just read (and please be constructive) THANKYOU!

This humble drabble started with Mokuba's little message, and evolved from there. I think birthdays would be a touchy subject for the Kaiba's. For Kaiba his birthday would seem meaningless in comparison with his brothers, and so nothing abnormally special would be allowed to take place on this day. Of course I plan on doing a comparison piece with Mokuba's birthday; that's a very different story.
