20 Years Before the Star Forge Destruction – Jedi Temple on Coruscant

"Shhhh, they'll hear you," he said.

He stood on his toes trying to peer through the window.

"Can you see anything yet," she asked.

"No…are you sure this is the right place?" he asked.

"Of course I'm sure…give them a minute…I know he said 2130," she stated.

"Wait…someone's coming," he whispered.

He watches a woman enter the room. A few moments later, a man enters.

"What's going on?" the young girl asked impatiently.

"They're just talking," the boy replied.

The girl crossed her arms and tapped her foot, looking around for anyone approaching. Finally, "I'm bored. Let's go see if Master Vrook found his surprise yet."

He gasped.

"What?...What!..." she demanded.

"Ewww," he said.

She tugged on his robe, "Tell me!"

"They're kissing," he hissed.

She crinkled her nose in disgust, "Kissing? Let me see."

He shook his head and continued to spy on the unknowing couple, "You're too short."

She huffed, "Then help me."

He hesitated, but pulled away to look at her, "How am I supposed to do that?"

"Get on your hands and knees," she instructed.

He looked at her expectant look and decided it best to do as she said. He knelt down and put his hands on the ground. She stepped up onto his back and peered into the window.

"Ouch, Rev, watch where you're putting your heel," he said.

"Oops, sorry," she said as she shifted her feet.

"What are they doing now?" he asked.

"They're still doing it…so that's it? What's the big deal with that?" she said.

"I don't know, I've never done it. I thought you kissed Tocchu?" he asked.

"Yuck, I'd never kiss him," she said.

She peered through the window with a thoughtful expression. She got down from her perch that he provided. She knelt down in front of him, "Okay, let's try it."

"What," he flinched back. "No way, I'm not kissing you."

"Come on, Mal, I want to see what the big deal is," she coerced.

"Just once?" he said while looking at her from the corner of his eye.

"Of course just once, we don't have all night you know," she replied.

"All right," he said.

They awkwardly leaned towards each other with exaggerated puckered lips and kissed each other quickly.

They sat back. "Anything?" she asked. "Nope," he shook his head.

"Hmm, maybe we have to do it longer," she suggested.

He shrugged and they tried it again, pressing their lips together for a few seconds.

"How about that time?" he asked. "Nothing, I don't get it," she said.

He stood up and looked in the window again. His eyes went wide at the sight and he stumbled back trying to breathe.

"What? What are they doing?" she asked worriedly.

He tried to catch his breathe, pointing in the direction of the window, "They were…they were…" he cringed. Then in a quiet voice she could barely hear, "They were touching tongues."

Her hand flew to her mouth to quiet her audible gasp. "Ewww, gross." She looked up at the window, "Well, there's no way we're trying that!"

"You got that right. Come on, let's check on our surprise," he said and they turned to walk down the hall.

"Are you sure it was dead?" she asked.

"I wouldn't touch it if it wasn't," he replied.
