Hello Everyone! It's been YEARS...WOW really it's been years since I picked up any of my stories again. I am sorry for the long wait and I hope you can all understand that life and responsibilities have taken up all of my time. I vowed to come back to writing and here I am. I will try to finish up this story and then tie up Royal Slave as it is the Sequel to this (this is the prequel even though I started the Sequel first). I know my brain works backwards apparently.

Any-who, I really hope you enjoy this and also I want to thank everyone who has favorited, liked or reviewed this story. It is one of the main reasons why I came back. You guys ROCK!

"Yes!" Screamed Beast boy as the branches gave way and Richard quickly caught his child. The little boy giggled as he was squeezed in the arms of his father.

Robin although happy to have seen Alan finally free, was also seething with anger as the father and son shared a moment. He wanted to be part of that moment.

"Daddy, it's time"

Richard looked into his child's eyes wondering what he meant, "Time for what Alan?"

Alan hugged Richard, "time for us to go home daddy. All of the stars are in play."

All hell broke loose.

To create the perfect being, the balance of good and evil must be present. A perfect being is both just and prejudiced, is capable of love as well as hate, and is selfless as well as selfish. That is what Raven needed to turn into if she planned on defeating Trigon. Raven must be weak as well as strong, just as well as unjust, and above all she must possess or embody greatest amount of perfection in her powers.

Throughout time and history, humans and otherworldly creatures have sought the meaning of life; of death and of love. While many would say that they know the meaning of these concepts, the reality is that none have come close to it. Until this very moment that is; Raven, whose polarizing emotions and characteristics have confused and intrigued those who have had the privilege of being in her life, was now surrounded by the very concepts.

Staring back at her were; Love, Life, Death, a dozen or more individual concepts.

"You've found us." The voices of these concepts all said together.

Raven allowed her mind a moment to process what was going on around her, "Do not question our existence anymore dear Raven." A hooded figure in all blue said.

"I do not question your existence Life, I question why now." Life smiled and walked towards Raven, making the other concepts move out of her path.

"We are here now for you have finally called upon us. The battle we have so desperately tried to avoid is no longer an option. We not only heard your ply, we also heard his."

Raven clutched her stomach, the bulge where her child lay still present. "He is no longer in me, I cannot feel him move."

Life stood before Raven and touched her hand to her belly as well, "he is alive! Raven. He gave his energy to help you summon us, but he is alive. So long as you live and assimilate with us, he will never perish."

Raven's eyes misted over and she wanted to desperately call out for Alan. One minute she's fighting Trigon, the next a blinding light had engulfed her. When she came to, Alan's unmoving body laid on the hard cold ground, while Richard and Robin were unconscious next to the child. It was all it took for Raven to completely relinquish control of her guarded emotions.

Mommy?

Raven gasped and closed her eyes, I am here love. I am here.

Mommy it's okay, I am okay. Please finish so we can go home. I miss daddy.

Smiling, Raven allowed her tears to flow free. "Life, please let us get in a circle. It is time we put an end to this misery and get our little boy back." Life accepted the order and the other beings all created the circle of Azarath.

Older Raven healed Richard and Robin while cradling Alan's unmoving body, meanwhile Beast Boy was nowhere to be found. Richard opened his eyes first and his face blanched as his gazed settled on the duo before him.

Frantically, he stood up while screaming, "Where is younger Raven? Where is Trigon?"

Raven sighed, "Richard, she is assimilating with her Azarath star. Once it becomes black, Raven will have become the strongest being on this universe."

"What's wrong with Alan? Why isn't he moving?" Richard was going into a panic mode; Robin could see the signs of it. He, unlike his future self, wondered why Raven was calm and figured that even though Alan wasn't moving, it didn't necessarily mean he was gone.

"Yo, future 'me' stop panicking." Richard glowered at the boy blunder. "Raven, Alan isn't moving but I get the feeling he isn't dead either. So, what's really going on?" Raven smirked at her younger husband. Still a genius it seemed.

"Alan is fine. This body is no longer his vessel. Trigon is in suspended animation as we speak. Since Alan is no longer in this realm, Trigon does not have a vessel as well. He will return in a matter of minutes of that I am sure of. But we must work swiftly. Raven will embrace with her Tikala and we will have a small window of opportunity before- BOOM.

All three heroes looked up at the reddish sky.

"WHAT IS THAT?" Cried Robin as rocks the size of cars fell.

Raven stood with Alan's vessel, "Alan's world is vanishing. As I was saying, we must work quickly. Richard you must grab my hand. Robin, you should hold on to Richard's hand. I will get us out of this realm and into the real world. Raven is already there." Both men did as they were told.

On Earth...

Cyborg lifted the gurney from the floor. Bruce-the younger Bruce-laid Beast Boy on said gurney as the older Bruce worked to get the computers back up.

"Man how did Beast Boy end up here? And why aren't the rest of them back yet?"

Good question. All three men watched the young hero take deep breaths. No matter how he got back in the cave, he was safe and sound.

Kyoshi's long plait moved with the wind. His gaze was concentrated towards the horizon beyond the blue waters of the ocean, as Kori and Isis both awaited for his command. They observed the gap opening in the sky, this was the only indication that the others would be arriving soon and that Trigon would not be far behind.

Isis, one of the Azarath guardians was dressed in ceremonial robes as Kyoshi wore his Azarath Armor-a leathered style Elvish armor-with his sword ready to attack. Kori knew that this battle would be over soon, but she couldn't help but fear that she might lose Kyoshi. It had been difficult accepting that her love for Robin was just a silly girl's infatuation, but she was more than ready to love Kyoshi completely.

"Kori…" as if reading her thoughts, the Azarath prince turned to his beloved.

She looked at him as he looked down to her, "Yes Kyoshi?"

He smiled and their eyes spoke volume, "Whatever happens I want you to promise me that you will not interfere." The gap started to enlarge and the wind began to pick up. The three aliens turned to it.

Her tears began to fall, "I promise only if you promise me that you will return to me."

"I promise my love." Isis smiled at the young couple and as the gap opened up more across the horizon, she rested her hand on Kori's shoulder.

"You will always find a way to each other. I will make sure he returns to you in one piece."

"Thank you Isis."

A blinding light came forth and the three aliens ducked as debris came flying out of the mouth of the gap. The gap started to form into a beastly looking creature. The large eyes with no void, and the large mouth that promised anyone in its path destruction, began to enlarge. What looked like tentacles began to sprout from all sides of the mass and as debris fell, so did four beings.

The earth shook and buildings crumbled. The city was in ruins and Raven and the two Richards stood watching the giant black creature spit out fires and debris into their world as the younger Raven, who wore a white robe, floated over the mouth of the creature. Kyoshi walked towards the group of individuals that flew out of the giant gap.

"Sister, please hand over the vessel." Raven and both Richards turned to the voice. The men all sized each other up and down. Raven sighed in relief and walked towards her older brother.

"Thank you Kyoshi. We have waited for your return for quite some time. I am sorry that I had sealed you away with Trigon." Kyoshi chuckled as he took the boy's body.

"I forgive you little sister. It was the only way to stop Trigon at the time. However, as we have failed, we must end this today."

Richard walked towards his wife and placed an arm around her waist, "what will you do with my son's body?"

Kyoshi smiled at his brother in law, "his vessel is the prison we need for Trigon. Once Raven…"here he looked up at the white figure in the sky and the others followed his gaze, "once she releases Trigon from Alan's world, we will have to seal him away in Alan. I'm sorry Richard, it is the only way." Both Richards frowned and were ready to protest such plan, but Raven shook her head.

"No matter whose vessel we use, Alan will be safe. He is safe Richard, so the body you see before us, it's a shell; dead and void of anything."

A loud scream drew their attention back to the sky. Raven started to glow blue and Kyoshi handed the vessel to Isis. She placed him on the ground and then turned to everyone.

"Kyoshi, Rave, please begin. Richard and Robin, I need you both to come over and join Raven. You will form a square when our high priestess Raven—the white figure-is done with bringing Trigon out into the open, you two will join with both of the Ravens and Kyoshi will do the rest. Is that clear?" Both men agreed and proceeded to stand close to Raven. Robin noticed Star as their eyes met.

"Star?"

She smiled at the young man, "hi Robin. Please do as asked so friend Raven and you can finally have your happy ending." Her sad smile tugged at his heart, but it didn't pain him as much as losing Raven would. Sighing, he took a spot close to older Raven and both smiled.

In the middle of their broken square laid Alan's body. Isis and Raven began to chant and markings appeared on the pale body's surface. Kyoshi lifted his sword towards the mouth of the large strange beast.

"RAVEEENNNNNNNNNNNNNN" spoke a malformed voice. All looked up as Raven in white pointed her hands towards the sky and her Tikala released a black mist.

Trigon's face morphed into the black beast before everyone. His smirk was the only recognizable feature of the evil lord. "I will have my revenge Raven. I will kill you all and destroy this planet."

"The time to seal you away forever Trigon has arrived; MENTHIOS!" The black mist enveloped Raven as she flew straight into the mouth of the beast.

Robin and Richard both cried out, but Isis and Raven stopped them. Silence befell the world as Raven's power sucked in the life out of Trigon's demonic form.

All went dark once more.

Well I hope you liked this. Excuse the grammatical errors.
