Brother
Prologue: Wish
Disclaimer: Harry Potter and Fullmetal Alchemist does not belong to me.
A boy, about six-years-old, stood in the middle of the garden. It was raining cats and dogs but he couldn't bring himself to care. He knew that if he fell sick, his "guardians" would not so much as bother to bring him to see a doctor and they will still ask him to do the chores. But he couldn't bring himself to care.
Maybe it's because the past five years have been hell for him, and if he stood in the rain, he could taste a piece of heaven, no matter how short a time it is. His tears fell with the rain. All he wanted was some love but it seemed that it was too much to ask.
Too much.
He wiped his tears and went inside. He had done enough self-pitying for today. It's no use staying in the rain and brood, not to mention falling sick in the process. Tip-toeing into the house, he dried himself with his towel, went into his cupboard and fell into an uneasy sleep.
The funeral has just ended and after tapping on the brothers' shoulders comfortingly, people left. Soon after, they were the only living beings remaining in the graveyard. Since young, their father have never been there for them so it was no surprise that he didn't turn up for the funeral. They couldn't believe that it was just a year ago that their mother were smiling and laughing with them.
Laying on the grass, the brothers looked up to the sky with his arms supporting his head while the other sat up. It was obvious what they were thinking of.
Please return my mother back to me.
Little did they know that the wheels of fate was turning and their lives will never be the same again.
