Kisshu absentmindedly stared into space, thinking. After they left Earth, Pai had used the Mew Aquas to revive their planet. It was now as beautiful as Earth was, with green grasses and blue skies.
"What're you thinkin' about, Kisshu?"
"Huh?" Kisshu looked up into the face of Taruto.
"I bet you're thinkin' about that old hag, aren't ya?" Taruto said, blowing a raspberry at Kisshu.
"Yeah, so?" Kisshu grinned. "I bet you're thinking about Purin."
"N-no I'm not!" Taruto shouted defensively, blushing.
"Come on, admit it," Kisshu teased. "She's all you ever think about, right?"
"No! We're not even friends!"
"She seems to like you quite a lot." He winked at Taruto. "Are you sure you don't feel the same way?"
"I'm sure." Taruto made a face at him and flew off.
"Whee! Look at me, I'm hanging from the ceiling!"
"Ack! Purin-chan, get off there!"
"But I'm having fun, na no da!" Purin shouted. Her legs were wrapped around the chandelier and she was swinging from side to side. "I'm just like a monkey, na no da!"
Suddenly, something fell from the pocket of her uniform and landed on the floor. "Oh no! My candy!" Purin let go of the chandelier and landed expertly on the ground. She hurriedly picked up the piece of candy that had fallen.
"Candy?" Ichigo asked. "Why do you carry candy around?"
"Because…" Purin said, examining the bit of candy to make sure it wasn't damaged. "…It reminds me of Taru-Taru."
"I don't like her…" Taruto said, aggravated. "I don't…" He opened his fist. Inside was a piece of candy that Purin had given him when he left Earth. "I don't…do I?"
After making sure that her candy was unharmed from the fall, Purin put it back into her pocket and proceeded to wreak havoc around the café.
"Hey, Purin…" Ichigo said, tapping Purin on the shoulder. "Can I ask you something?"
"What is it, na no da?" Purin said, still spinning a pair of plates.
"Why do you keep that candy with you…just because of Taruto?"
"Because," Purin said, her voice suddenly becoming soft, "he's my best friend, and I don't want to forget him, na no da."
Taruto leaned against a tree. "Maybe I do like her…" he stubbornly admitted to himself. "Maybe…just…a little bit."
