Disclaimer: I dun own anythin', not even this idea really, twas given' to me by my friend.
"C'mon Raven! You've been in there forever! Some of us gotta use the bathroom too ya know!" Beast Boy whined from outside the door, but Raven just ignored him. This was important.
She stood in front of the sink; eyes fixed on her battle scarred hands. She knew what she had to do, and his words are what were driving her to.
"Stop living a lie Raven! Stop hiding behind a mask! Sure you've had it hard, but so have we. We're in this together! All of us! I bet if you looked at your reflection, I mean really looked, you would see just what a fraud you are!"
And that's just what she was here to do, look at her reflection. So with a deep breath and shaky determination she raised her gaze to the mirror. Emotionless violet eyes locked on her image, and she saw with undeniable shock that he was right. Behind her barriers she saw a girl who cared, a girl who was just like everyone else, a girl who wants a friend. She was living a lie due to the fear of being rejected. She was afraid they wouldn't accept her, and that they would shun her. And they might, but sometimes it's a chance you have to take. Live a little and accept rejection when it comes. No one can live a life behind a mask; otherwise you'd never know the feeling of true friends.
Staring at herself a moment longer, she decided it was time to stop pretending and be herself. She was going to live life to it's fullest. She stepped back from the sink and turned towards the door. There was an awkward moment as the four Titians stared at her with concern and curiosity as she opened the door, but she just shrugged it off. They wouldn't understand. She glanced at Beast Boy and smiled, "Thanks." She said, and with that she walked down the hall.
Starfire, Robin, Cyborg stared after her with expressions of disbelief, but Beast Boy understood.
"What's up with her?" Robin asked, still not grasping Raven's behavior.
Beast Boy grinned and shook his head, "Nothing, she just looked at her reflection, that's all."
A/N: AHHH! I DID NOT want this to end this way! My gawsh:frowns: Ah, well. This ish my first TT fic n' there are more to come…I hope…:smiles: Well, toodles!
